I know why it takes so long for nursing mothers seem to take forever when the timer says 0 minutes! The timer counts by 3's! For example, if the timer says 120 minutes of nursing time, you have to wait 3 minutes before the timer changes. It will then turn into 117 minutes of nursing time.

120 min. left ---> 1 or 2 minutes later ---> still 120
120 min. left ---> 3 minutes later ---> 117

0 min. left ---> 3 minutes later ---> you get the new kid!

It tooke sometime more than 3 minutes but 10 or 20 minutes before to get the kid!!

I think a lot depends on how often and for how long you pause the game; it seems to throw off the clock. Sometimes the countdown seems to stop completely for a while after pausing and restarting. I don't have any real evidence for this, though.

You could be right. I pause my game each day once just during the time to make a backup. But I didn't notice any relation. Though I didn't take care of that!

Would the game speed setting have anything to do with the nursing speed when the game is turned on?
