It seems to me that these guys are triplets. I have noticed that when I get twins or triplets, alot of there likes/dislikes are the same, their skill levels are comparable, and their names seem to be closely matched as well. It is too bad that their dilike wasn't their like. I LOVE runners.
They are the ones I pick on to run tasks for me like (since this thread is already marked SPOILER) starting the fire again after it has gone out or they are also the ones I use to make stews as well. Sometimes you need that stew and you need it NOW. You cannot wait for some elderly tribesman to lolly-gag along, taking their sweet time, and on some occassions, developing "senior moments" and forget what it is they were supposed to do and go off and pick coconuts or something.

I love watching my runners do their jobs...but the ones who dislike running are painful to watch, especially if they're kids. They are the ones I pick on to run tasks for me like (since this thread is already marked SPOILER) starting the fire again after it has gone out or they are also the ones I use to make stews as well. I do that all the time.... "Hey you, runner boy, I need that fire started now! And you, runner girl, get cracking! I need that stew!" You cannot wait for some elderly tribesman to lolly-gag along, taking their sweet time, and on some occassions, developing "senior moments" and forget what it is they were supposed to do and go off and pick coconuts or something. That's great Gamey! And lolly-gag! I haven't heard that word in so long!

These sound like you're unsure about if they're triplets! Notice the thread name, and the line in the first post: I got trips who dislike running. Trips = triplets! Sorry, just a bit on confusion on this end!

Oh, no, not that trait! You can hope for a certain event--that would help one at least. But I like a suggestion I read recently: Try to make all your slowpokes (my word) into EEs. Now thats a challenge.

I was able to bring my tribe back to max population but haven't "bonded" with the villagers so I have no idea who left. Part of the magnetism that VV holds - one reason it has such a diverse audience - one reason the VV line will always outshine hidden item or mystery games - is this issue of bonding. Without even knowing it is happening new players find this magic emotional link sneaking up on them. It starts with checking up on the village several times during the day; going mushroom hunting to prevent them from going hungry; grieving for that lost villager who laid the cornerstones upon which the mature village will one day rest. It is interesting that once the village becomes self sufficient and once the first generation of villagers that the player knew and loved finally dies off, the bond is much weaker for the second generation, perhaps because there are more of them so it is harder to keep track of who is who, and they need less attention as the village becomes more and more self sufficient as the game progresses. I find that usually by the time the village is at the maximum population, I don't really know or care too much about any of them anymore and I find myself clicking around in the graveyard thinking how unfair it is that the ones who devoted their lives to making the village strong never got to see the results of their labors. Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but I gave some thought once to a utility that would let players right some of the wrongs, but came to the conclusion that without the negatives, the positives would not mean much. Sort of like um, how much fun would a rollercoaster be that only had ups but no downs. -Borg

oh wow. What really gets to me is that runners, if they survive to elderly, slow down just like any other non-runners. that just bugs me.
