I got an Event today thinking if my GC it might be just a master farmer like in the last event take closer look instead he dissapered. No GC, But at least I got all 5 games running.
Will I can always start over if my village start misses the GC.

I'm sorry! If you have made a backup before this event you may try to use it but all your tribes will return at the state they were when you have made it!

It was my second game in block 2, but not the first game in block 1 I only take chances in blocks 2, 3, 4, and 5, if I got the event in my first game I would not have taken the chanch click on said back away as that is my main one, so I still have my GC in number 1 but not in 2 any more.

I feel sorry for you.

Sounds kinda like a mixed blessing to me. Yes he's gone, but at the same time no more distractions from him. Unless you're depending on him to renew crops or heal, I'd say good riddance.

Of course by now, my 1st village has been running for a couple of weeks with minimal checking/interferance by me, and the worst that's happened is a typhoon washed away all the food. My population dropped to 70 something but I tasked everyone to farm and before long all was well again.

Although, I tend to agree with Rockmower, I am sorry it happened to you and NOT to me, I would love to see him gone.

I notice when I get a typhoon and the food is on 0, my villagers soon get the food up in less than 5 minutes without the GC making a party. (After burying the dead of course.)

Now that IS a nightmare. I just recently started a game in VV1, & I'm not going to have a GC. It means I wont solve all the puzzles in this game, but I've done it tons of other times, so doesn't matter. I accidently killed the GC once when I answered an event & didn't notice it was with the GC. The village was very peacefull after that.

I've only just started this game (Virtual Villagers 1), and I thought the Golden Child was supposed to be a good thing. Is this not the case?

I was also wondering (based upon what I've been reading in posts) if it's possible to have a female Golden Child? And if not, I'm sorry if this sounds like feminism, but, isn't it a bit sexist that the Golden Child ALWAYS has to be a boy? Why can't it be a girl?

Some people like the GC. Some people get annoyed by him.

I never thought of it as sexist that the GC is always male. I think it had more to do with the things that make him special in appearance, like baldness.

I wish my golden child was gone, all he does is make parties when everyone is busy carrying the dead. What i do when everyone freezes is i grab the golden child and make him miss his own party. Then i pause the game and tell everyone to do what i want them to but i let the children and mothers dance and party.

Yeah, but, there are some bald women, and I don't mean through hair loss, or chemotherapy, they do it by choice, so....

Oh well.

If I loose all my food, as it happens sometimes. I make Golden Child go to school. The same if there's a burial. That way, he can't interupt the workers. He was sick once and I felt sorry for him. So I had him healed. What was I thinking of! He does have his good points though, making parties helps the villagers with low health bar to heal. He also replenishes the berry bush and farm. He also plays with the children.
