Ah HAH! So in my haste to heal the sick, I inadvertently moved the doc to the patient as the other villagers were gathering for the burial. THAT'S what zapped my doc and patient into the ether.

I'm quite certain that the patient was sick, not weakened. Her health status bar was low and a bad color too. I never got a message that said that healing was taking place, so it's hard to believe that she was moved from sick to weakened, unless there's another bug in the game. Also, when the healing didn't "take" the first coupla times, I did go back and check her status -- still sick.

I have to believe that the were abducted because I was moving them around during the time that the rest of the villagers had started the burials. But the thing with the wanting to make babies when she's sick thing still doesn't add up.

Oh well, I'm over it and I guess so are my Sims. . .
