Merry Meet! I'm a newbie and have just under 24 hours of run time on the VV1. I'm at work right now so but my husband is at home baby sitting my village so I'm not calling home every five minutes asking "what are they doing now" just emailing him "what are they doing now?" Anyway from what I understand they have grown the crop and are clearing out the rocks that is blocking the water. They built a school but I only have 3 children right now. I'm sure it will take a while but I am determined to finish all the puzzles before I move on to VV2 (that I already have). Is there any advice out there for a novice?
First of all, Welcome Moon Flower! Pretty nickname.
Yes, here at this forum there is ALOT of advice, check out the VV1 Guide near the bottem of the Forum List. But beware, some are spoilers, which basically means "Only view if you give in!"

Welcome Moon Flower!
Just a little advice (I didn't tell it for a long time!! ) Don't forget to have some villagers selected as healers, especialy when you are not playing, or they will not cure the sick villagers by their own.

Thank you so much. I woke up this morning with all my children sick with a virus from the well (pox I think). I let one of my younger males heal them all to build his medical skills so hopefully before they all get sick again I can get him some healing training. My husbands village lost 3 lives last night. That is our first deaths. So far I think I'm doing this OK.
PS Some of those poor children are really very ugly, huh?

Hi MoonFlower, happy to see you here. You probably already know this, but you can put the game on pause by pressing the space bar, when you're going to be away from it. Then you wouldn't have to miss anything! I do that with all my games (I usually have 5 running at once! :?) til they get established enough to take care of themselves.

I thought about pausing the game but I did enjoy waking up to see that 2 of my females that would not breed while I was looking had babies through the night. This concerned me before I went to bed because all my children were turning out to be boys and my females aren't getting any younger. Now I have a little girl (named Ripley) and two nursing. I hope they are girls too. I'm only on day two and already sucked in ... is this normal behavior? LOL
