I recently got an event I have NEVER heard of: 'Where Are The Infants?' Well here's it description too:
Sometime during the night, the village infants disappeared! The mothers are in panic, but it appears they were carefully taken away to some other location.
Notice where I've underlined? That got me wondering... Maybe a villager(s) that left the village before our VV2 villagers stole them?

There are several discussions about that event, including this one. It only happens very late in the game.

got it in my very first game  I think i got something like this in VV1 the babies didn't leave they just all got sick and i lost a few bc i had so many

Believe it or not, I have never heard of this event. It makes for a great story plot
