I can't figure out what the strange and haunting music is that happens quite often. Is this the signal that a fish is being born? I am also wondering why the baby fish that die seem to die at age 5.

Can anyone help.

from what I was told, this is just a random sound and it doesn't actually signal anything!

Hi, Marcee. That haunting music behaves a little differently depending on whether you are using a Palm or PPC device. It's not exactly random, but it doesn't signal an important event.

The reason that your baby fish are dying is that you're trying to breed fish that are too fragile for your current tank environment. You need to breed fish that you know will survive until you have enough money to go on a spending spree in the supply shop!

i dont think this music tells us anything important. i just know that evrytime this music sounds,my fishes just got 1 year older.

it's only there in the web version. in my 1hr demo there is only bubbly sounds. (my dad doesn't let me buy the game... sob sob... said I have to concentrate on my studies...)

That music is in all versions of Fish Tycoon, including the PDA versions.

i used to think this signified something "cool", too. once, after i noticed the music, my pregnant fish gave birth. another time, i noticed that my babies had evolved into teenagers. however, i have heard the music with nothing apparently significant happening as well.

Camille Saint-Saëns wrote a classica piece, which I'm sure is in the public domain by now, called Aquarium. It would be perfect for the game.

I'd much rather listen to that constantly, than a short burst of music that just startles me and makes me wonder what happened. Always wonder, even when I know nothing did.

It is rather creepy music isnt it. Hi im Julia and i need some help like Marcee. My fish are dying the second they hit age 20. Even the not rare ones are dying! And i have research environt ment 3 (still reserching but almost done). Can anyone help??

There are a lot of reasons that fish die, besides the obvious need for better Fish Environment. I've listed the most common reasons in this post.

Fish Environment doesn't take effect until research is completed, however, so that may account for part of your problem.

Let us know is those suggestions don't help you, and we'll try to figure out why you're having trouble.
