It being Hanukkah, my villiage have been enjoying latkes (potatoe pancakes) and salmon cakes. They hallowed out coconut shells, filled the with oil, making eight coconut lamps, each night leading up to the eight nights of Hanukkah. It has been a wonderful time of singing, dancing and of course, eating latkes.
