Hello!
I'm new to village sim. I've been trying to get the hang of it, but I can't!
My villagers keep dying pretty quickly. I have no other source of food besides the big bush.
Would anybody give me some tips to find sources of food and to train them to make them live longer.

well, a good approach is to start on low difficulty. If you set the game to slow speed, they also tend to eat less! Have one gather food, while most of the others research at the table. That should give you enough tech points quickly so that you can buy level 2 harvesting! That should take care of your food problem. Also, one more suggestion, don't breed until you have LOTS of food because the kids eat as much as the adults do! Good luck!

Yes, the GC can be either a girl or a boy. I've seen many of each (although they look identical).

I have a population of 65, with 66 born and 5 buried. One of my originals is lost; it's not there and not buried! As soon as the 1st one died, I upped the Spiritual so they would bury her so the others should be there too.
I haven't seen a golden baby yet. Are they rare? Do you have to have the highest level of Fertility to get that one?

The GC appears when you have certain puzzles completed. Generally, you will then breed until the GC shows up- which is only once a game!
I guess, then, that I shouldn't up my medical again or it will be a long time before there's room for the GC. I had my population up to 65 but it went down 2 so I have 2 new babies. They're still being cared for so I don't know what they are yet.

I decided to upgrade the last 2 categories to Level 3 so now my guys will probably live forever. The researchers are at loose ends now so they're wandering around, looking at the cactus, trying to move the boulder, exercising or just doing nothing. I left it running all day today, not knowing that I wouldn't get back to it, and just turned in on now. Nothing has happened!
I have 61 villagers so I marked some of the females for breeding so we'll see what happens. Will the GC show up after puzzle 9 or do I have to figure out 10 somehow before it shows up?

I kept on and now I have the GC. It's a girl! Her name is Tala. Now I just have one more puzzle to go. Is there any way to make the GC do anything or does she just take her own sweet time getting to it? She just says "hey" if I move her.
I was hoping puzzle 10 would take me to another part of the island. I guess I'm just about finished. I'm going to try the hard level next time; this was the easy one, although, at times, it sure didn't seem that way!

That's what I figured! Did you know the GC can walk on water? After she said "hey" a few times I decided to dunk her and let her go swimming but she just stands on the water and then walks back to land. I had tried quite a while ago to get one of the children to swim and got the message that they weren't old enough so Tala's certainly different.
