I'd hate to see VV3 get too bogged down and complicated. I definitely agree with having the mothers nurse for a shorter period of time, or some combination of day care and/or a light work load. Two years is a long time.
I also agree that the children should at least be able find a few items by themselves.
I liked the school in VV1 rather than having teachers in VV2 (it seems once I got a Master Parent I couldn't keep her from "going indoors").
I'm not sure how you'd incorporate animals unless they live for eternity. Having to dispose of an animal carcass every few years or months seems unreasonable.
One more suggestion, it would be nice to be able to move more than one villager at a time.
One more thing that irritated me in VV2 is trying to find a child quickly. Sometimes the adults look too young, especially when they're running around. Which brings up the suggestion made by others to have more "runners"; they truly are my favorites. Sometimes it takes someone forever just to gather firewood or a herb.
Thanks for the great games, and for accepting our input. Eagerly awaiting VV3.
