One of my female villagers embraced a guy who was much older than her and then they went indoors. She went indoors and came out with a baby before he even made it indoors.

lol! Yes, I had that happen quite a few times! It's sort of funny to watch... sort of sad too, though. The poor guy's moving so slow, he misses the whole thing!

I've had it happen the other way around also. But in that case I assume it's artificial insemination.

This darn game makes me feel guilty about making women crank out babies every two years until they are so old they can barely make it to the hut. I try to move them in front of the hut so they won't have to go so far.

Yes, that's the best strategy. If either partner is elderly, it's best to drag them both in front of the hut before "allowing" them to kiss... that way they have a chance of finishing what they start.

You don't even need to get to the hut. After they are "going indoors" drag either one ontop of the other again. Soon a baby appears. So much for being shy!

In the beginning, when I'd see that the elder one wasn't going to make it, I'd try to "move them along" (which only confused them, lol!) and probably crossed over the other one, and POOF! There was a baby!

It works like breeding fish does in Fish Tycoon, except that the fish don't make a little trip behind the tank ornament for privacy! That discreet little activity is just for show!

lol! Took me a while, growing up, to realize that my mom was being over-dramatic when she warned me that "kissing" was all it took... Now these little villagers proved she was right!

I've also figured out that if you check the detail of the female right when the status changes from "embracing" to "going indoors" it will tell you then whether or not she is nursing. Then you could actually interrupt them and try again. How's that for quick pregnancy test results?

LOL! I've done the same too! And I've actually stopped them and coupled them up with someone else to try. There's something weird about doing that!!

Don't know about VS, but in VV the population counter goes up when a couple kisses. So what do they do in that little hut? Probably play cards while waiting for the stork to arrive!

lol. i do the same thing when i need them to get a baby. i interrupt them and try again until the population goes up. i'm stuck right now with 90 population and only 6 puzzles solved.. i need help lol

yup, unless you get a special event
