Cacti survive without water right? cause mine survived 3 days w/o water

With the 3 species of cactus, I always water them only until the T of the water-meter and no more. I noticed that, when I had only level 1 or 2 of soil and water, if I give the cactus too much water they'll be infested and have dead leaves more often.

For the 4th cactus ( I suppose you speak of the ridgeball) as I need level 3 of soil and water, I don't have such problems with the infection!!
