I downloaded Village Sim intially as a free trial. However, I quickly became addicted and had to purchase it. Nonetheless, I have a Treo 650. If I play the game for over 5 minutes my phone resets and "reboots" with the main palm screen. Needless to say, my game is reset as well. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, what have you done to fix it?

Many people are successfully playing Village Sim on Treo 650s. It sounds like the game somehow became corrupted at some point. Usually, if you completely uninstall the game, reinstall it, register it, then start a new game you'll be fine. If you continue to have trouble, please post back here and you'll get the help you need.

I have a treo 650 and I do experience resets but I think that is the nature of the phone. My 600 didn't reset. However, it doesn't have an effect on the game. I've been playing for awhile now and have completed all the puzzles and levels several times. I think the phone reboots when the signal is not strong.

My wife and I have both been playing on Treo 650s since early May. She has over 730 hours on a continuous game; I have been starting new games every couple of days. Niether of us has ever suffered a reset.

One of the major "reset-causers" on the Treo 650 is the VersaMail client. Its database gets corrupted easily - you can read more at the Brighthand forum (http://discussion.brighthand.com)

I think there were some significant updates to the OS of the early 650's. The new 'unlocked' ones most recently released seem to never ever crash with Village Sim.

Wow. Thanks. Actually I've had a problem with VersaMail since I installed it. I've never been able to get it to work. It simply resets to the main screen. I just have been using XpressMail instead and haven't really thought about it. I'm going to try the fix I found and hopefully it works (or I may just delete VersaMail since I like XpressMail).

I like Snapper mail. They even have a mode for using your finger--rather than a stylus--where the icons and scrollbars are oversized.

VersaMail is in ROM and can't be deleted. There was an update to the Sprint Treo, version 5.4.7 which I have, and have not had any crashes, VS or otherwise.
