i need help in solving puzzle 6. this is my second time to play the game. first time i solved all puzzles except 12 but had to restart my game because when i woke up (RL), all villagers were dead except the GC. this time around, i couldnt seem to solve puzzle 6! i know it has something to do with a new hut -- to increase the amount of villagers but somehow, my builders just wont build -- ive been dragging them all over the place already!!! help please, anyone. i am playing the EASY game now. my last game was in MED mode. does it have something to do with that?

That puzzle is triggered by population. Your builders will work on it after you reach a certain number of villagers and your villagers have tried to increase their population beyond that figure. Have you seen the "There's too little housing" message when you try to make babies? Do you have any villagers trained in construction? Do they have their construction skill checked? If you still have problems, please send me a private message (PM) and I'll give you more specific help!

I'm not sure on this, but I think it works in reverse of what you expect. You expect that you will need to build huts to increase the population, but I think they build huts 'because of' an increase in population.

In other words, I think there's a set population level that triggers the builder's "urge" to build a hut.

Sort of the opposite of that saying "If you build it, they will come". In VS, it's "if they come, they will build".

I don't normally post advice anyway, because I generally don't know the answer. lol! But it was one of those rare moments, like in grade school, where the teacher asks a question, and your hand shoots up, waving frantically..."Oooo!!! I know!! I know!!"

Thanks Barbara. I had to satisfy, in my own mind at least, my curiosity as to why the villagers spend so much time going there!

Can't be for extra "hanky panky", as they do just find in the "going indoors" hut. Can't be for covert opperations, like drugs, money laundering, etc. because the villagers are too innocent for that (which is why I love the game... it's good clean fun, for a change!).

So it has to be to do just what we do... grab every spare moment to play games on our PDA's! lol!

I agree with you, and thought that the PDA's looked like drinks too. Especially with the bright blue. But as there's no way I could pixel in Village Sim into the little screens, there's just no way to tell for sure what they are!

I do have some tiny drinks (ice tea, lemonade, pina coladas...gaterade for those running around the island, lol!) somewhere in my folders, so maybe I'll switch 'em eventually.
