Iam just starting out on the game and I need all the help I can get. How do I get the to farm their own food and how to get them to fish? any and all the help I can get will be a big help. I didn't play video games as a kid but now that I'm a grown up, I'm hooked.Only I need the kids to show me what to do. Is there a cheats book out for village sims yet?

Take a look at the tech screen and read the info for each Tech. You have to register to get any tech except for farming above level 1. Myself I am doing great until I forget to pasue the game when I go to sleep and wake up to find a dead village in the morning.

This forum is all the cheats book you will need. Ask any question and there are lots of people who are glad to help you out.

Have you used the tutorial that runs when you start a new game? It tells you how to get villagers to do a task (such are farming or fishing). If the villager is stubborn and doesn't want to do it, just keep putting them back there. Once they gain a little bit of skill (you can check this in the details screen) they will start to do the task on their own.

Also, remember that some tasks (such as farming and fishing) are only available after you get tech upgrades. Takes a little patience, but that is what makes this a fun game!

At first farming isn't something the villagers have figured out how to do so they have to subsist on berries from the berry bush. After they've got some tech-skill in farming (gained through spending time at the research table, and highly motivated by the tremendously high diet of fiber from living on just berries - can you EVEN imagine?!?) they'll figure out that they can actually work the land and get crops to grow.

How do you get them to move the rock please?

That's one of the puzzles.

Ugh, that confounded rock has driven me nuts since I got this thing lol. One minute they're so worried about food they won't do anything for me and the next they're all up there pushing that rock like it's sitting on a hostess twinkie goldmine. Silly little villagers!

Next version should include a "build a fence to keep curious villagers away" feature lolol. O'course, with my luck the builder would build himself into a corral alongside a rabid monkey or something HAHAHA.

Ok, I have cleaned my beach, forged for food and I've almost picked all the berries. I have tried to keep some one at the research table.How do I gain tech points faster so that they can farm?

My suggestion is to keep as many people researching as you can spare in the beginning. You can have your builder research for awhile until you need more housing! Tech points are slow to accumulate in the beginning, but get faster as you develop master researchers!

One of my villagers just died. How do I persuade someone to bury him? His body is just lying there, decomposing.
