I finally was able to finish the game with the help of ladycfii. As you can see from the puzzles I somehow managed to do all of them in order. When I thought that I had to restart and try all over because I didn't have the right things to complete puzzle 12. I found that I had two villagers with the same name 1 was elderly the other was a middle aged man. I over looked the elderly man because they both looked similar to each other with similar skills and he was the one that I needed to complete puzzle 12. With his help puzzle 12 was discovered, but rarely worked on because he was old and refused to work much. The young man with the same name Howi was adept at that skill and helped out when he had the mindset.

Then I finally remembered something. BOBO! He was my little 9 year old master! A while back he found a blue phial and being such a curious village master I coaxed him into drinking it and BAM! He turned into a 2 year old baby. I thought he never would grow old and after a while I forgot about him. Before I went to bed last night I noticed someone going over and joining the two Howi(s). When I looked closer I noticed he was working.. YAY!! It was a blessing truely because the old man refused to work, he wanted to fish and the young man was slow as dirt. So when I woke up this morning old Howi died and puzzle 12 was complete.

Now I feel so happy and can't wait to start another game.
Thanks to LDW team for such a great game.

Well a few nights of staying up way later than I should added with a dash of addiction can help out the speediness of the game. XD

lol good to know. I'll get right on that lol.
It *is* addictive though isn't it?

Waiting for the massive multiple player online version of it to be released and we can schedule support group meetings over by the research table. *grin*

That *would* be cool! It would only work on the phone/Plam combinations like the Treo, I guess.

The caveat I would offer is to look closely at Uru. This was the on-line sequel to the Myst series, and was the most awesome experience I have ever had in gaming. There was an active, enthusiastic fan community behind the game, but still it failed. Why remains shrouded in mystery, but the public version is that they did not get the number of participants they needed to make their sales projection, after about a month of Public Beta. Rumor has it that the decision to abandon the game was made BEFORE the public phase ever got started. My opinion, based on subsequent events as much as on the history, is that there was not enough blood and gore, violence and sex to make it in today's market. Very sad, but if you look at the games that are selling, and the stuff people watch on TV, you are kind of forced into that way of thinking, IMHO.

You can read more debate about the demise of Uru and subsequent attempts to ressurect it than you would ever want to read at places like www.uruobsession.com or www.guildofgreeters.com among many others.

That is why I love this Village Sim game. No blood, no guts, no gore, no sex, no violence. Arthur and Walt did a great job creating a fantastic game with a small file size that relies on story and creativity. Keep it up LDW! You are building fans for life.

Umm...Excuse me but what exactly is the last puzzle and what do u mean by a master? Is it a master builder? If it is i'm doomed cos' there's nowhere to train a builder in my village!

sorry to interrupt, i've completed levels 1-9 (including the idol), but no idea what the next three are. i'm presuming the shifting of the boulder is one of them...my villagers seem to be incapable of such a hefty task...any clues????

Why can't you register? Are you having some technical problem?

The reason that we don't put specific, detailed help on the puzzles in the forum is that people have asked us not to. It's too easy to accidentally bump into solutions that you didn't want to see, and it spoils the game for people. So, we handle giving solutions to puzzles via PM. It's actually very effective, and we're pretty quick at responding to PMs (unless we're asleep, of course)!

I never got to play Uru because I can't get high-speed access out here in the boonies but I played all the other Myst games and the reason I like this Village Sims is the same reason I like Myst: no violence, just puzzles to solve. I've never played the other Sims games because I'm not interested in having to finance projects and plan taxes but this is really fun (although frustrating at times).
