I'm getting a lot of Totem's, there all over the place. Anyone got in suggestions on how to position them or what we should do with them?

I can understand I put my totems around the mosaic, with those of the 7 original villagers in the middle, only when I have all the pebbles! In waiting they are any where in the village, near the huts or the fire! But they are a little bulky!

I made a small mod for myself that made the totems much smaller and easier to place in the village. If you'd like to try it, I would be happy to share.

It occurred to me that you might want to see it, so here's a screenshot:

The only thing in that screenshot that isn't the "right" size is the totems. Everything else is the original game images. If you download the totems.png attachment, you can put that into your VV2 Images folder and have those tiny totems in your game (right click on it and click Save target as..). You'll have to remove the number from the front of the file name, so that it's just totems.png. Don't forget to back up the original totems.png image, in case you want the big ones back later.

I took LadyCFII's mod as inspiration to make my own mod. I changed a color of the totems here and there (lightened the thin brown, added red to the green one). And then I shrunk them 50% and placed them in the center of their "clickable area".

With the totems being smaller, it allowed me to find a very nice place for them — on top of their gravestones! I rather like the look of it.

Every single villager I have had has become an Esteemed Elder before dying with 1 exception: the original female adult that came through the cave to find the children. She was just too old to finish my "training" program. She was the first to die.

So that left one gravestone without a totem.

At the same time, I had one Esteemed Elder die after all the graves were created, leaving her totem without a headstone. So I placed that totem on the gravestone of the very first villager.

I took a screenshot of the grave site before all my Esteemed Elders had died so it shows not only the gravestones with their totems, but the extra totems for the villagers who had not yet died. Since I took this screenshot, all of my Esteemed Elders have passed on so the entire grave site is finished. I really like the way it looks!

Below is the actual mod file if anyone wants to use it. Either save the picture to your computer or download it from the 3rd link below. Be sure to make a backup of your original totem.png file before using my mod just in case you want to switch back! Also change the filename from 3910-totems.png to totems.png.
