Hi, I would really appreciate some help. I can't get the golden spider or uncommon glassy dragonfly, someone gave me some guidance last night, I've blown $170000 on mutation liquid and think I'm barking up the wrong tree. I've found the plant list someone has created and tried to understand it and can't (I'm stupid), I've never come across a multiflora/ridgefall and still have difficulty with tier 4 tilia/baccatus/lilia/tahitian/venus/arthurium. I have the tahitian spider so assume I've had a tahitian plant somewhere along the lines.

Is there anyone that can give me basic instructions, what the plant looks like, do I mutate and then cross or mutate only? I'm so foxed! Many thanks

Hi...read your post...the tahitian variety of plant is a white flower with 7 round petals and has a light yellow center. Can't remember how I got it. Not sure if I bought it in the supplies section one day as it changes everyday. Hope that helps.

twosees: I read your post. I'm sorry you are stuck, I know how frustrating that can be. If I may suggest: I have those bugs and as I remember I didn't recall any specific flower that they came out to. Early in my game I was desperate for money, so I sat glued to my seat, peering at the screen, net ready and caught bugs like crazy. Those dragonflies are fast, if you don't see them come in, then realize that they are perched on a plant, swing and miss you probably missed the glassy one, he blends in so well. My best and least costly suggestion is to set aside some time and wait for them. Make sure you're growing plants that have lots of blooms. I haven't done much mutating at all, my main focus has been creating species. I have purchased two extinct seeds though. Generally I'll only buy an extinct seed when I have never seen anything like it. I'm up to 202 species.

Actually, that helps a lot, I was under the impression, reading posts, that I had to have specific plants to get specific bugs. I have 310 plants so I'm doing rather nicely. I shall try your approach, it will be a lot less costly and I thank you for taking the time to reply! Sarah

You are correct, Borg. That is why many players are missing "the last few insects" in their collection.

I am with Borg on this one. I have all of my insects and I know that I could only get a few of them from certain plants.

If this is the case, then please could someone help me understand borgs file of what is needed for what _bug_ because I simply don't get it. I have everything written down that is linked to these 2 bugs and spent 2 hours last night pouring over the info on this forum until my head hurt. It's irritating because I don't consider myself an unintelligent person and I know there are people on here who have just clicked with the list plants and tiers and goodness knows what but the more I look at it, the more confused I became. Has anyone got any pictures of a 4 tier foliage multiflora or a 4 tier ridgeball??!!

Look in the guides section and find Deathwing's guide. It tells you all the bugs and what plants you need to get them.

If you have Borg's spread sheets downloaded, click on the worksheet tab that says images. All of the pics are there.

And hey don't we all get frustrated once in a while. I'm waiting on 3 butterflies and I have nearly all the plants. Of course my spreadsheet was full so I must've goofed somewhere. Very frustrating! But what are you gonna do except keep on, it's the only way to reach your goal!

didn't realise there were tabs, told you I was stupid. Heart has sunk now, I haven't had either of those plants, think it's time to go back to basics. What a drag. Thanks everyone for being so responsive and helpful, I'm going to go and sulk now, got another 7 hours before the seeds I can buy are replenished. Sigh. The really embarassing thing is, I now understand borgs tables, no wonder I wasn't getting very far, spending 2 hours pouring over the pricing chart. How humiliating.

I am completely clueless about which plants attract which bugs. I started out by playing a game with no plants and no seeds and I found about 15 bugs that would appear even without plants. Then I was going to make 15 of a particular species and see what new bugs came and keep doing that, but well, I quickly realized that project would take months to complete, so *cough* I gave up.Have you looked at the new chart in the newest project, Virtual Seed Tray (the spoiler version)? The chart makes it a bit easier to see visually what you have (and what you don't have).That I can help with. my original project has all those pictures. Maybe I should add them to my latest project.
