maybe because the villagers do not fill it ?
as with the food bin , it does go down b/c the villagers fill it
and eat it. but with the wood pile the villagers just use it , it is not part of the game to cut trees down to fill the woodpile .

To cut trees down to fill the woodpile could be a new task for the builders, in VV3!! No? ;\)

I think that is a great idea!
I would want to start with a big pile though. The builders are quite busy in the beginning of the game.
I would give them something to do other than fixing huts in the later stages of the game.

Yes it is a good idea! I agree it is something better to do than fixing huts.

frankly, i find tending the fire to be one of the more annoying aspects of the game.

Same, but I usually let it go out once my game is completed.

Personally I would rather see tham picking up branches to add to the wood pile instead of cutting down perfectly healthy trees. Save that for the real world idiots chopping down our forests.

I agree, SP! Unless they are able to distinguish the sick trees that can be cutting down! \:\)
