When I have village sim running on my palm but have the palm switched off, the game does not run properly: researchers stop gaining tech points and foragers stop gathering additional food.

Has anyone else found this when their palm is turned off and has anyone found a way of fixing it?

Charlie

Do they stop completely, or are they just not as productive? Right now, the villagers are more productive when the Palm is on and the game is actually running.

I dont have that problem, they may be a lot less active when the palm is off but they do still do all the things they have been taught. I found that I had to drag them to the bush often enough or else they'd stop going there for food, same as for the table.

While I was alseep last night they managed to have one child. It took me half an hour trying to figure out who it belonged to. Its a good thing the game was new and only two villagers breeded. XD

At least you figured out who the dad was for your child. I still can't figure out who is the father of my 3rd island child. It happened when my palm was turned off. The mother wasn't hard to figure out, but the dad is a toughy.

Sometimes you can get a clue early in the game by checking the breeding skills of your male villagers!

Unfortunately, both my possible fathers are adept researchers...

Too bad the Village Doctor can't do paternality tests I see a future Jerry Springer here.

I'm too afraid to see the family tree of my village. I kept track of them for a while and had to go off to do some chores, came back with 3 new babies (I figured out the mothers, father a bit iffy... but I managed). Then I went to sleep again woke up 2 people died, 2 males actually.. XD Which is pretty bad when I only had 2 males when I started the game and 3 boys after 4 girls were born. XD

So now I'm don't even question who's who's mother or brother or sister or father.. I'd like to keep my mind clean from those thoughts or else I'd just be really disturbed and the game might be avoided for a day or so..

fortunately, keeping track of the parentage is not necessary to play the game!! If you enjoy doing it, by all means do so!!
