I hope this isn't as dumb a question as it feels like...

I have all my magic fish in Fish Tycoon, but when does the game stop? And, once it stops, how do I get another game going?

It does not stop. You can keep playing the same game. Or if you want to start a new game, go out the the main menu (start screen) and press 'start over' or you can press 'change' and add a new player.

Fish Tycoon, like all of our games, is open-ended and keeps going as long as you want it to.

There is no "Start Over" in Fish Tycoon. To start over you must use the Change Player function and either create another player in a different slot or delete a player from an existing slot and start a new game in that slot.
