I have noticed that some of my young villagers are VERY slow at learning their first skill, even if it's the "one most likely". Case in point...I have a Trainee doctor who has been one 9 years...he likes herbs, his parents were doctors, all his other "classmates" are at least Adepts at their skills, yet he remains a Trainee. Is there a kind of "Bell Learning Curve" in VV 2? I have also a Trainee builder of the same "class," who likes wood, and was marked for being a builder...same exact thing. Has anyone else noticed anything like this??

Every villager is different, and there is more to their makeup than who their parents were and what their likes and dislikes are. There are individual traits for villagers programmed into the game that you can't see. The complexity of Arthur's design is what gives these little villagers their teeny, tiny personalities. \:\)

You are absolutely right...mea culpa. I should remember that, being a teacher! It's difficult to believe that you can program their personalities, and they are truly individuals, but you've convinced ME! Kudos to Arthur!

LadyCF, are the villagers programmed to learn more slowly as they get older?
