I just started this game and all my villagers died 3 times already because I can't maintain their Health level? It always drops down to red and then they die. I made sure that there's food and plenty of berries on the bush. But they're health level continue to weaken? What am I doing wrong?

Have you made sure that none of your villagers are sick? If they get sick, and you don't heal them, they will lose health and die. You should also make sure that some of your villagers are researching at the research table so that you can buy Level 2 of Harvesting as soon as possible - the berries run out! You could also try playing the game on easy setting and running your game on slow speed until your villagers are doing well. That will give you more favorable conditions to start with.

Thanks for the suggestion on the easy setting and slow speed. My villagers aren't sick, but their health levels keep on dropping? I have a Palm Tungsten|E ... I'm wondering if it might be a glitch in my version? The game often freezes on me too.

Could you please describe the freezing a little more? When does the game freeze? Do you have to reset your Palm to recover?

I have the same problem with my little people. The two men are quite healthy, but the 3 women's health have dropped down to yellow? They have never been sick two of them have babies. One is on her 3rd child and the other one is on her 1st child. The third lady has only been in the hut "numberous" times. Is there any way to better their health so they don't die?

As long as you have plenty of food (at least 300 and it's on the increase, rather than being depleted), the only thing you can do to improve your villagers' health is to increase the medical technology level. With higher medical tech villagers stay healthier and live longer.

Thank you for the tip.. Right now my food level is a little under 250 but its growing very well. My adept doctor is still nursing a child, and that seems to take for ever. Now my next problem is there are now new male babies and the villagers don't seem to want to make any either. *lol*

I was playing the trial version earlier and now that I registered for the full version, I no longer have the health maintenance problem.

As for the FREEZE ... it's a complete screen freeze. I can't click on anything or turn the Palm off. I have to actually find a pin to insert into the "reset" button to restart my palm to stop the freeze.

Are the freezes still happening to you, or did they go away after you registered the game?

Gemelle, doesn't the top of your Tungsten stylus unscrew to give a device that can be used to poke the hole at the back? That's what I use to reset, instead of searching everywhere for a pin

The pin to the stylus! That can totally be the 13th puzzle! Thank you!

I have another question. One of my female villagers, has really good stats, always has bad health. She's not sick but weakened all the time. At times the red goes back to being yellow (or was it orange?), and back to red again. Now I'm noticing her health is extremely low. Some side notes she's 58 now and has had maybe 6 kids?

(They/She had a field day while I was asleep)

Is there any way to make her health better? Or avoid this situation with my other females?

I don't know what level of medicine you have, but if it's (1) 58 could be old for your villager. When villagers get "weakened" there is not a lot you can do for them except make sure there is a lot of food available and to keep them on easy tasks (like researching). This tends to help weakened villagers get better.

Ah, I see. I'm on level 2 of health. I usually make my weak villagers researchers or just let them wander around doing what ever they want. I haven't seemed to figure out why my 30+ year old female, who had only one child, is very weak and dying. She's been a researcher all her life and hasn't done anything except an occasional harvest and have one child. ^^;; She doesn't seem to be getting much better either, our food level is quite low and everyone lives season to season and hopefully in an hour or two that will change. I'm up to 43700 in tech points..

A low food supply will almost always cause health problems for the villagers. It takes an increasing food supply consistently at or above 300-400 to keep the villagers healthy. Some villagers seem to be more sensitive to near-famine conditions than others, regardless of their occupation.

I finally got the option to fish. Now my food level is way over 400 and increasing. Their health hasn't changed much since the long famine. I had 0 food, no berries, no crops.. it was harsh but no body died. I'm just waiting for things to get better now.

I'm glad that I made it through. *haha* This game is a bit stressful/addicting.

My food source (single berry bush) got wiped when I first started the game and everyone died. This is my 4th try (1st time registered version) and I've become VERY conservative on the berry bush.

Although I can farm now, I still make sure there are plenty of berries on my berry bush. Not only is it a great start for my 14 year olds to get a beginning skill at farming, but it saved me from this horrible drought I had on my farm. Thank the island gods for the berry bush.

*lol* This is my first game and I didn't know that the berry bush will never fully replenish it self. I went through a few droughts with no berries and no farm/crop. First time 2 people died and the second time it was really close. Now I make sure I don't eat up that one berry thats left on the bush. XD The occasional visit is alright anything more than that I get a bit figdety. ^^; (is that even a word? fidgety?)

it is good to know, that there are island events that might help the berry bush!
And I'm pretty sure that Fidgety is a word!

I read about an event that did that, but I don't have that kind of luck so I'll just stick to the safe side. As for good news my village is a wopping 64 hours old, 42 population, 12 nursing mothers... if I keep a good watch and never take my eye off the lazy men I can keep food levels at 1600-1700 . Not to forget to mention, health is great.. even my elderly lady is extremely healthy, and still popping out the babies.. XD

You're doing really good aRia! I'm at 76 hours and I only have 21 for population. But I have 5 berries on my bush still! =P

I'm aiming to get level 3 harvest so I can breed some more. I even created my own weblog for my island. If you're interested I'll send you a PM with the link.

Actually I got an event that replenished my berry bush from 6 berries back to 8 berries. So I guess the berry bush can replenish itself.
