I have completed up to puzzle 11. But now a strange thing is happening:
Everytime I switch off the game - either by power off or return to the desktop - it appears to be looping back to a previous position when I return to it.

Time is advancing, food is increasing, people are aging - but always they are back in a previous geographical position. Namely most of the people are carrying water from well to field, some are emerging from the sea. A few (different everytime) are scattered around doing minor chores.

Has anybody else seen this happen? Does it mean that I won't get to solve puzzle 12?

Gary

That's a function of the way villager starting positions are determined. Scientists tend to start at the SE corner of the research table, farmers like the well, etc. It's most noticeable when you have a lot of villagers.

It doesn't affect your ability to complete the game at all.

At that point in the game, the farmers will almost endlessly water the crops. Someone in another thread called them "Zombie crop waterers." Don't worry about it. As long you're getting enough food from fishing, it will be fine.
