OK, so I'm a science type myself, never lived on a farm or anything, so I'm not complaining here, but my observations to date indicate that research type guys get to go indoors a whole lot more frequently than farm/fish guys.

Is there some sort of anthropological rational for this, or is it the opinion at LDW that farmers are just, um...dull?

I've noticed that the more skills a villager has, the more sought after he becomes. I had one guy aged 68 who was a master scientist, master farmer, adept healer and had a touch of parenting as well. At one stage in the game, I had just finished building a hut so the population was exploding and this guy had five women chasing him - and they ALL caught him. Nobody else got a look in.

Every tribe is different, and some villagers just don't seem to 'get' it regardless of their training. There was some hilarious discussion a little over a month ago regarding the 'personalities' and breeding tendencies of the villagers.
