Sounds like you found the Vanishing child bug... You should be able to see the golden child the second you see the announcement. Unfortunately, without the GC, you won't be able to do puzzle #11. So sorry!

I have not yet SEEN the golden child. The kids supposed to be a master at everything right? Haven't had anyone like that show up in my character list yet!! Puzzles say the golden child showed up at 359 hours but I haven't seen it yet!?!

Eeeek! I don't think it should take that long for you to see it.

Michelle is right. It looks like your Golden Child needs to have their face put on a milk carton - "have you seen this child?" That usually happens when a villager is dragged around during or shortly after the time of burials in the village. It's possible that you accidentally moved the child without realizing it. At any rate, as Michelle said, you won't be able to solve the 11th puzzle without the GC. You can still solve puzzle 12, though, since the GC is not required for that puzzle.

I think 743 hours has got to be a record... not just for not seeing the Little Bugger, but also for total gameplay. Holy smokes! That's over 30 days of running game clock, assuming no time warping (and I know none of us EVER do that).

Yes, Gemelle, the Little Bugger will always be 5 years old. He is ageless, Peter Pan of Isola, and he gets to wear a cool costume. Maybe the other villagers in Morwen's game got jealous and fed him to the Idol? Or they gave him to the beached whale? Or he decided to live anonymously with the liitle food-stealing monkey? There are lots of possibilities....

Aw nuts....okay, well I guess I'll go ask for a hint on puzzle 12 then. I'm stumped as to what it can even be.

Sigh... Me too.

I'm going to have to send a PM for help. I can't figure out puzzle 12 for the life of me. I have a feeling the little golden gipper isn't going to just do something miraculous while I wait, either. Whenever I check on her, she's just being sweet and chasing butterflies.

Have you noticed the Golden Child can't swim? You throw him in the water and he walks on top of it.

You'll need to wait until some villagers die, so that there is room in your village for more babies.

I found that out! Mine was a girl and she kept saying "hey" all the time when I moved her so I dunked her and she walked on the water, both the ocean and the lagoon. Couldn't even get her wet!
