Has anyone ever gotten a magic plant that was from a purchased seed from the supplies box???
I believe I have gotten one, possible two of them?
Also, a question...if you change the difficulty level you play on, how does it become more difficult?
Thanks!!!

Was it the $2,000 seed by any chance? Just curious, and my game is on normal, and I think I have gotten 2 from the $2,000 seed catagory...Too easy, no??? I'm a little dissapointed...

I've gotten 2-4 from the Supply Store. (I know that at least 2 were the first time that plant were seeds, others may have been later in the game when I already had the plant.)
I believe that 5/6 of the MPs can be purchased, but one must be bred or mutated.
I mostly play at normal mode, so I don't know what the differences are.

I have one more question...when is the best time to mutate? Before or after pollination? I have heard different theories on this...
Thanks!

hello everybody,
yes I had three magic plants buying seeds. 1 costed 200$ and the other 2 2000$.
I used the mutation liquid once, before pollination, on my most expensive flowers, cause I thought they were rare and it would be great . it wasn't at all! the plant instantly dropped from 500$ to 24$, and turned into my most common plant, I was mad !
I find it rather easy to make money in this game, so I don't mind buying seeds at random, and pollinating them all together as much as I can ! And sometimes the little stars sparkle as well !

Until you get into the Tier 4s, the mutation will always change the Tier for either the flower or foliage, so if you start with a common plant you are likely to get a higher Tier, or the other way around.
The advantage of mutating before pollination is that you can then self-pollinate the plant to save a copy of that seed. But sometimes I'll mutate afterwards if I just want to do some experimentation or recover from a pruning gone bad.

But sometimes I'll mutate afterwards if I just want to do some experimentation or recover from a pruning gone bad. Well I tried it, and you are correct. The scenario that you mutate a lower tier plant, immediately creates a more valuable one, when mutated before pollination. I have mutated after pollination as well, with no change whatsoever, so before mutation must be correct. Thanks for alll the expert advice!!!
