Hi there,

I'm quite new to this and was wondering...

I've bred:
spotted reptans x fragent ball cactus and
fourpetal lemonbush x aureus gladiatus

Both combinations have produced the same seed type/colour/pattern. Does this mean the plant in each will be the same, or will they be different depending on the cross?

Thanks for any help =^..^=

They'll be different depending on the cross. I've got three identical seed types that are three different plants!

It is possible to have up to eight different plants all resulting from an identical looking seed.

The the seed type refers to the foliage and the tier, that's it. If you have a spotted reptans and another tier one reptans, they look the same. If you have a spotted reptans and a tier 2,3, or 4 reptans, they'll look different.

Thanks for your quick replies!

Bit of a shame, as I've just deleted a whole bunch. Arg!

Never mind, on with the game!

LOL it can get confusing, so right away I upgraded to get all three seed trays, and when I store them, especially if they are in the same species and their seeds look alike, I try to separate them with another species. Each species tends to have at least the same BASIC shape ... of course I am kind of new at this, I'll probably discover some far out combos, but right now, cactus seeds look like cactus seeds basically, the kidney shape, ferns look like ferms, asteras look like asteras, etc.
