As far as I can tell, runners and anti-runners are completely random. I've had a person who disliked running, and I used the desensitising (it's really desensitizing with a Z, but I spell it like the Australians do) and it worked like a charm.
I also used the encyclopedia every chance I get just to see what would happen, and I've ended up with a few runners from that. I've never naturally had a runner though.

I have one desensitizing kit to take the dislike of running away, but since these are twins I hesitate to use it on one of them without having one for the other twin. I had a pair of twins who disliked eating and I desensitized one and not the other, the twin who didn't get desensitized to take away the eating dislike became depressed, apparently from being different from her twin. I could find no other reason, not sickness, etc. If a second desensitizing kit shows up I will be able to do both of them.

I had twins that didnt like to run,so i used the kit on both of them.It worked on both of them.

Be careful, though! I had a non-runner who had two dislikes. The kit took away the first dislike (I can't remember what it was now) but left the dislike of running. The kit didn't appear in the store again until after he had left for college, and I didn't choose him to inherit.

I didnt know that.My peeps only had the dislike of running.
