I'm playing VV1 and when I try to get my stats updated, I get the following message. Update failed are you on line. (i'm on line at the moment, and it still happens) I'm on ver 1.o1 of VV1 can anyone help!

Although written for VV2, this thread, explains some of the leader board issues that apply to both VV1 & VV2. There are also some topics in FAQ that deal with this problem.

Essentially, when you get the error you're describing, the best thing to do is wait a bit and try again. That will usually fix the problem.

Actually, that thread has more to do with individual scores not appearing on the leader board than it does with the ability to refresh the game's statistics. The "Update failed..." message merely indicates that the game can't connect to the stats server, and one's Internet connection is only one link in the chain. This answer in our Support FAQ lists all of the possibilities. What prevented refreshing stats this time was that the database table had an error, which I just fixed. Refreshing stats for VV1 is working again.

I lost my ability to refresh stats on my VV1 games about 8/7/08, but it's still borked for me! Arrgh! It's not a firewall/security issue, and obviously I'm online. Any other suggestions?
