How about having the villagers build a few outhouses? Then the kids have somewhere to go.

i love all these peoples suggestions for vv4....oh i am just so anxious... anyway, I do not agree with getting rid of tech points, i love those tech points... also, i think there should like be a diary, or a note box, and I also again, support my idea of being able to go inside the huts, and have like a store, where you can buy things like food and decorations, and make things more fun by like making masks and things, and beside the building skill, i think there should be a sculpting skill, and more skills, and like there should be marriages, and maybe, perhaps, ldw could discover this so said "mysterious mushroom" found in the picture files, but never seen on the game. anyway, oh and aside suggestion topics for the game, can ldw more fully inform us(us meaning the general public) about the progress of their games...and i want more mysteries, like, Mysteries that you can discover, and more puzzles that you can solve, and more than that, make it so your villagers will have , as my dad calls it, "their own R&I(Resource & Initiative)," and therefore the villagers will be able to do more things on their own... also, their likes and dislikes are boring as it is, could ldw at least make it not so boring, like, for instance, maybe the likes and dislikes can be seperated into small sections, like "dislikes seafood, likes homemade meals" or something like that say in a category of "foods,(likes and dislikes of)." ok well that is enough for now.... thanks!!!

I don't know that it would be a good idea to change too much of what makes the Virtual Villagers series so great. I would not like it if the characters and the surroundings were totally different because it just wouldn't fit in with the other games in the series.

I am hoping that VV4 is only about the last unexplored quadrant of the island and does not finish the story. I would like to see a "VV5: The End" game where all four parts of the island are finally united and the villagers finally get to interact with each other and the story is completed with some kind of nifty ending. Then, after the 5th game, the series ends and LDW goes onto producing other games - perhaps another series. Just my four cents (adjusted for inflation).

I don't know if this has been suggested before, but family trees and actual marriage would be great.

I know that Arthur has said that LDW has already mapped out a storyline for the VV series. Whether it will end with VV4, VV5, or whatever, LDW are keeping quiet about. See Arthurs' Talk at Casual Connect Seattle -- July 2009 and download the podcast of his speech.

Allow us to change the villagers hairstyle and haircolor. It will be great isn't it. Make the place where they get their source of food more and make the map bigger.

I think VV1 is still the best game ever. I like the music a lot. I think in Virtual Villagers 4, you can use the tech point you have made from researching to purchase different color roofs or curtains for houses,exotic flowers things like that rather than just buying clothes after you have bought all the technology.

Hi, I have been playing VV3 again and I have many suggestions thanks LDW for letting us put our input in the game (:

- Would love to see animals in the game

- A temple/church or a building where villagers meet (center)

- A picture of the deceased on tombstones

- Be able to experience weather hurricanes, typhoons, volcano eruption etc.

- Have a tribe council not just one chief

- Have more specific "symptoms' for illnesses/injuries ex. "broken arm"

- Add astronomy as a skill

-create a weather building

- Many more structures and buildings

- Add more puzzles and more challenging

- A bigger map (more island)

- Bring the map option back

- Have marriages and family tree like VF
