puzzle 21 - base built, idols in place, hollow tree trunk standing by, base up, hardened glass made, says a wooden gear is needed, moved all villagers around village twice, nothing comes up. Perfect villager to the craft hut, nothing comes up. Have no clue how to proceed.

puzzle 22- trenches dug, dam built, reservoir built, dam removed and water wheels built, filter crafted and in place, pins made and secured, pipe in place, but the puzzle is not complete and villagers dragged all through reveals nothing. Perfect villager dragged to craft hut reveals nothing. No clue how to proceed. Can someone please give me a hint or a spoiler or something?

Thanks, now I have to figure out how to get one of those items although I think have an idea on how to do that. I've been bouncing around working on several of the puzzle's at the same time because there are certain things they can do without having to wait for days for the crafting of the parts, I'm getting close to having enough lava stones to upgrade to the third bowl which will be nice but I wish I would of saved all of the stones at the start so I could of had it much sooner.

I actually completed the reservoir just a few moments ago. I finally figured out why it didn't complete.

I also know where my 'wooden' gear is supposed to come from... I just don't know how to get it.

Gear won't happen until flower garden in complete. It is from the stump above the oven.

My flower garden has been complete for several hours and the gear has not appeared in the stump so now what do I do? How long does it take to show up? Does something else trigger it?

Yes I have done the other steps on the observatory, they need the gear to continue and I have dropped my chief on the stump and nothing happens because there is no gear in the stump to pick up, the only other thing I can think of is if all technologies need to be upgraded to the max before the gear appears and I have one more step to go on the med.
