No it did not reset the game, I don't know what it did, I think it might have fixed the glitch with the treasure chest but I had already gotten past that one, it seemed that nothing else changed in my game after doing the update including not being able to get to 45 population after completing my collections, I was stuck at 36 for a long time then it went to 38 and has stayed there since.

Yes, I was stuck at 36 and then for no apparent reason, it went to 38. It has remained at 38 for the duration. I am able to have twins and triplets.
