I tried to take a screenshot of the game with Fraps, and nothing happened. I've used Fraps successfully for a wide variety of other games, so I'm not sure why it can't take a picture of Virtual Families 2.

Those of you who HAVE taken screenshots successfully, what software are you using to do it?

I'm running the game on Windows 8 64 bit.

Thanks!

I've never used Fraps, but I've used several other programs for screenshots over the years. In the end I've come back to the old ALT+PrntScr method. I'll then paste the it into an image editor, (usually Irfanview as it takes no time to load) and save it as a JPG.

I'm running Windows 7 on my PC and use the Snipping Tool (which I've pinned to my taskbar). It's a piece of cake and I don't have to paste the image into any image editor.

On my iMac, Shift+Control+3 for the entire desktop, or Shift+Control+4 for just a particular portion. Again, no need for additional software. smile

Thanks for the replies!

ALT+PrntScr does work, but if a person wants to take several screenshots in a row, that method is pretty cumbersome, since you have to switch to the image editor, paste and save, then switch back.

It turns out that Gadwin PrintScreen will work with Virtual Families 2, and it allows one to take several shots in a row, which are saved to the folder you specify. Plus, it's freeware.
