Hello, everyone! Here is what Arthur just announced on Facebook:

Quote:
Been waiting for Virtual Families 2 for your PC or Mac? Well it is NOW AVAILABLE for purchase at LDW!

http://www.ldw.com/virtual_families_2_our_dream_house.php

It will be available from your favorite casual games websites as well, starting this Saturday.

Please note that the Mac version at LDW has no DRM, and no trial version for the time being. We will likely add a trial version in the next days in case you want to try it out before buying it for your Mac.

Have fun!

We hope you really enjoy the game! laugh

I like this one better than the first. But I could use a good walk through. Are you going to have an Official walk through for virtual families 2

The game contains a walk through tutorial, plus a Help file. You can also refer to the VF2 forum here.

If you purchase the game do you get a key code. I bought the game but I had a problem with my computer so I had to re install the game. But had no way to do it. I downloaded the demo but now I'm stuck because I cant get the full version without purchasing it again. I always bought from this website and received a key code but this time I didn't. Can someone help

No, you don't get a key code. Send a support request to LDW and they will send you a link to another copy of the full version.

I've been using VF2 on my iPhone and iPad...love it! I've just downloaded it to my PC and can't find the button to buy more coins. I've looked in the store; I've tried to purchase something, but it just tells me I don't have enough coins. Where else should I look? Thanks...

Hi dixiem. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your little families! laugh One of the differences between the mobile and desktop versions of VF2 is the ability to make In-App purchases (the items in the Coins and More section). These purchases are only available on mobile devices. Here is one discussion. You will also notice that on the desktop versions
Click to reveal..
your little people earn twice the amount of money than those on your mobile devices, and they earn 10% interest on their family bank account. smile

Have there been any updates/adds to the furniture in VF2? What is there is not very appealing, especially the dining room tables. I would like a "matched" room and I'm not crazy about "gothic", or white, or birch!
Thank you!

There haven't been any such updates yet, but I did see a post a few weeks ago saying that an update would be released - though I didn't see any promises about updates to the furniture.

Hmmm, can't find this anywhere. Is 1.1.1 the current version?

Thanks. I was irritated with my mature little family and started over from a backup at the end of generation 1, but they weren't getting weeds or ants after several days. I've done a lot of backups and restores of the family files, and thinking it might be residue in some other datafile, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I've seen weeds since so either I was wrong or it worked! I just wanted to make sure I had the most recent version.

I've been playing VF2 for a couple weeks now. Today there was an error in the game, and after I restarted the game, it started as a new game. I was doing okay with it, but was speeding through the tutorial and got ahead of it. I had already placed the couch, and it will not accept me placing it back in the decorate tab and back out. I realize I can still continue on, but the "replay tutorial" will stay there, which will begin to annoy me. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall, but the problem is still there. Please advise.

One thing you could try - although it will cost a few coins - drag the couch outside the gate until you see a message asking if you want to sell it. Let go in the road and it will be sold. Then go to the store, buy another couch, replay the tutorial, and when asked place the couch in the house.

Hello Raeperk. Adding to what arnie said, be sure to purchase the "Usable Couch." It's the one with the description "While still usable, this couch looks like it was abandoned at the curbside by college students who..."

Drag the Usable Couch down from the Decorate Tray and place it in your house. The tutorial should acknowledge it and stop asking you to place it. Please let us know if this resolves the issue for you. smile

That's what got me in trouble in the first place. My person was tired, so I bought a couch, THEN discovered there was one already there. I took that one out and sold it. As I stated before, I have repeatedly attempted to place a usable couch and it won't reset.

Just tried it again. the prompt is still there. But I also noticed that the orange furniture was also available. It's supposed to be locked until third generation, where I was when the game shut down.
