I bought Virtual Villagers 1 (along with 2 and 3).
I downloaded the trials for all three, like I read in the
E-Mail, and it told me to press the Unlock button on the Reminder, and enter my name and code.

Well, problem. I can't interact with the remind at all.
Clicking the Play, Buy, and Unlock buttons don't do anything at all.

If I close out of the reminder, the game starts up.

Anyone know whats wrong?

I go to the post, follow the link there to the "Several dialog boxes are blank" help thing, and I follow Method 1.

1.Click Start, and then click Run.
2.In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
3.Click OK.

Well I do all this, I get the message:
"DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded."

I'm assuming everything happened like it was supposed to (Of course, I don't know.)

Of course, when I start up the Trial again, the unlock button doesn't work.

What'd I do wrong this time?

Did you try to re-download the game as well looking behind all windows to see if the code box is hiding behind them?

If you did, and it still doesn't work, as it states in the post (and later in that thread) I linked you to, we'll need additional information, as we have never been able to recreate this issue on any of our lab computers.

Have you used this particular computer to install and activate other LDW games, and did they work? What version of Windows are you running, and what security software are you using? If you have another computer available in your household, you could try installing it and activating it there as a test.

Tried re-downloading the game, and looking behind the windows, again, and still nothing.

Many, many, years ago, I bought and downloaded A New Home.
I can't remember, but I think that might have been a different computer.

I'm pretty sure I have Windows v6.1
(I might be looking at the wrong thing)

I'll try to install it to my other computer.

Wish me luck!

---------------Edit---------------
I went on to the other computer, installed it, pressed the button, and it worked. So now I'm out of ideas. I legitimately can NOT play it on that computer though, as it's our 'family' computer, and it goes quite slow.

My apologies. Let me clarify that question. smile Are you using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7?

Also, did you make sure your javascript is up to date, and verify that your pop-up blocker was off while you pressed the unlock button?

As you may have noticed in the other thread, those are the only options we can offer at the moment. If you are willing to send in this support form, I'll work with you to get your purchase information and a refund, if you are interested. smile

Javascript is normally browser dependent, so you'll need to make sure that your default browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc) is updated to the newest release.

We changed some things around on the other computer, and we got it to go a little faster. We'll be keeping the games on that computer, but thanks for your help!
