I "sold" a kid (went away to be a star!) for the first time today. My peeps were really poor and I decided to let her go.

I've accepted every adoption that was offered. I've gotten some interesting kids!!

I only let the talent agent take them away if the family is desperately poor, I kind of see it as the child getting the chance to make his/her family proud. smile

I've only rejected adoptions if I wanted a set amount of children in one generation or if there are 5 children already and I want a specific child.

I've only had two adoptions and accepted both, but I won't let them start the next generation. I did let one kid go with the talent scout, but I felt so bad about it I'll never do it again! blush

No to both. In fact, "No way" to both!

No, have never sent a child off to be a star. No matter how poor the family may be, I look at it just as like life....a struggle.
And NO to rejecting an adoptee. Even if cuts down on that family having the chance for twins or triplets, just can't say 'no'. And it is always fun to see what the newest arrival will look like. Believe a couple of my adoptees have ended up
taking over the next generation.

The last time I let the talent scout have one of the children when my family was poor, there were more than one of them with a serious/grave sickness and I had to choose between having them pass away or sending one of the children away. frown

Life is full of decisions and I find that a lot of children want to feel as though they can make a difference for their family. I know I did! I wouldn't want my daughter or son to feel as though they have to provide for me, it just happens in life sometimes.

I always send the kid off with the talent agent and accept adoptions. The one exception (when I rejected the talent agent) was when I wanted to rename a kid first.

I always adopt them. I have sent a kid to stardom if I know he/she will be left alone in the house. I got adoption not realizing the parents were age 60. So the following day a scout talent arrived and said he can go. It was just as will as his parents both died just after. Would of been only age 8. Anyway I redopted him back to take over the house. Aged very fast from 8 to 24.

I seriously thought about selling a kid once when I really needed the money, but I couldn't bring myself to do it in the end.
I've also NEVER made it to six kids before, so I adopt every child I can to try to get that dang trophy!

This is strange, but Ive never got the chance to adopt. I always say no to Talent scouts, and maybe I haven't gotten adoptions because im on the First Gen. LOL

I had an adoption in my first generation smile
You're on the first generation? You've been here a while though, did you just start a new family?

I prefer to think of it as letting a child find early success.

I always let the child "star" inherit the house, when the time comes.

I also accept adoptions, unless I am nearing time for the next generation to take over.

No, I just always pause the game so none of my peeps get sick. I forgot to pause the game twice, and each time, two peeps died

I always let the child go to be a star, you can always let them inherit the house. And I always say yes to the adoptions,
I had one poor adoptee, as soon as he stepped over the door step both the parents died. I felt so sorry for him I let him take over the house. He turned out to be a super peep, he worked hard and mastered his career and fathered six lovely kids.

I've never sold a kid or rejected adoption, either. I just don't have the heart!

Oh dear, I just adopted a little boy because the mother was having problems with child birth and the doctor consultation recommended baby boost.. was only able to get 5 kids before they get into their late 40's and his name is Havoc! Lol..

His first action is "Hiding Toys" while his 11 year old brother is "Jumping on the bed".

One time, I accidentally sold a child because my virtual peeps needed the money.

One time, I accidentally rejected an adoption because I pressed the wrong button.

I rejected an adoption once just to see what would happen.

I didn't know you could sell your children. Are you talking about when the talent scout shows up at the door?

They are probably talking about the talent scout.

I sent a kid away to a talent scout once. He had showed up on my family's doorstep, and two (in-game) years later, I sent him with the talent scout. That was because the parents were old and about to die, and I didn't want him to have to live by himself.
When the parents died, I chose him for the next generation. They had triplets, and one of the triplets found a little girl outside the door. They had two more kids, and when he and his wife died, I chose the adopted girl for the next generation. And that is the story of Nap the orphan.
