How long after the purchase of your first LDW game was it before you registered and became a member of the forum community?

With in the first week.

I actually joined before I'd bought a game... but I'd been playing the online version of VV1 for a while, and I'd written about it somewhat. I found these forums, discovered that others were writing about their tribes, and then joined so I could comment! And, of course, share my writing.
Not long after I joined, I bought VV2. (And then PT when it came out!)

Hmm, well, this was a while ago for me, but I'm pretty sure it was the first week or month, but I'll put month to be safe.

I think it was somewhere between the 1st and 2nd year; I didn't know about these forums until recently...

I can't remember exactly so I put within six months

After losing my first couple of VV1 tribes to starvation I realised I needed some help so I used Google to find these forums. It was probably over a week after buying, but less than a month.

I have bought LDW games, yes. I bought Plant Tycoon for PPC before I started testing/working for LDW. And I bought the boxed retail versions of all the desktop games as souvenirs (and to do a little testing on them, of course)!

Mine was definitly in the first week, after I got stuck on something!

I chose within the first year as there's no "I don't remember" choice.

I don't remember exactly how long after I bought my first LDW game. It seems like it was quite a while after I bought the game but... that could be my memory playing tricks on me.

I choose within the first month but I don't think it was that long, I just know it wasn't as short as a week. I got stuck and when I finally gave up trying to figure it out myself I came looking for help.

I became a member after I bought VV2... I was looking for help and stumbled here.

I actually bought VV2 twice. The first time, I bought it sometime in the summer of 2007 when my brother discovered it. I bought it a second time when my computer got a bad virus and I got a new computer.

And by the way, my brother is not a member of the forums, in case you were wondering.

So... I'm still a newbie. Even though I play every chance I get. I love the game and can't wait until VV# comes out! YEAH

I think it's been about 1 year and a half....

I didn't know that these forums were around when I started playing VV1 last year. I was talking to someone at my doc's office about games and they told me about Borg's VST and CG. That was about a month after I bought PT.

Me neither! I didn't know this place was released until VERY recently!

I only just found out about this site. I played the first VV well over a year ago though.

Gosh I can't even remember, I remember I bought the game then who knows how long I searched online for the makers and found this forum and joined :).

I really couldn't remember -- so I checked! It was 6 months almost exactly. (I have a file on my desktop of receipts for online purchases. It made that half of checking easy. And one of my posts with date of registration made the other half easy to check!)

I became a member a little less than a month after buying VV2.

I clicked a link in the Virtual Villagers website and found these forums. I thought, I don't need an account yet! Then one day I checked VV3 and saw an empty game(see this post, it was my first post ) so I signed up right away...to get help Started my first VV2 tribe in July 2009, signed up in December...let's see, that was WITHIN 6 MONTHS!

Well, in that case, it was about a year after i got my first LDW game.

I have been a LDW fan for a few years, but recently registered.

i found the forum about a year and a half after i got my first LDW game, but i didnt register until like a half a year later.

A few weeks after I got VV1.

I joined Nov 14, 2007 not long after I bought Plant Tycoon. I already owned VVI and I think VV2. Now I own the first three and waiting for VV4, sure hope it comes out tomorrow.

I joined a few days before I bought VV3 which was some time in Febuary?? Yup I was right on my friend's b-day! then I think I got VV2 and then VV1 AND THEN FT and I enjoy online PT

I joined the same day that I bought Plant Tycoon. I had been searching the Net for a 'different' kind of game and found Plant Tycoon in one of the game clubs.

After trying it, I bought it straight away and then searched for LDW to see what other amazing games they had to offer and who these astonishing guys were. I then purchased the LDW version of Plant Tycoon.

I joined on 24/10/07 and have since purchased every game made by LDW for a PC.

I have not yet found another site or forums that come up to the standard of LDW, so hats of to LDW!!!

I used to play the trial versions, but I didn't get into it until recently, and then I found this forum!

I need an "I forgot" option, but it was probably the date under my avi, like FB's. I don't remember how many games I had, or for how long. I prolly found the forum because I was stuck and needed help with something.

I actually had no idea that this forum existed until a few months ago. I never really got stuck into the VV games until this year as my uncle got me this game for Xmas-a few years ago! The first game was just sitting there in my house! So I didn't actually buy the game personally! Of course after I got stuck into the first game I begged my Uncle to buy me the other games!

I became one not too long ago. If I knew this sight exsisted I would have become a member years ago. I always wanted to share my ides for LDW games and now I can.

I did after playing it for four months.

The first game I have purchased from LDW is Virtual Families, about one or two years ago. I didn't know about the forums then. When I found them, I used to browse as a guest. Then, I became a member about a month ago.

I would have loved to have joined around 2009 when I first got VVF, but I was young and not even aware this site existed :P
