My game does not pause

Whenever I press Pause Village, the game claims to be paused. However, once I press Play, it reveals that it never paused in the first place. I am playing VVO2 on iPad Air 2020; I started on 15 Jun 2022 and finished all puzzles two weeks later on 29 Jun.

- Open your Virtual Villagers Origins 2 game and tap the 'gear' icon in the top right area of the display.
- Tap the Help button.
