Is there a quick pause feature in this game like in the older games? I'm having a hard time getting the collectable fish because they stop jumping before I can locate a child.

Can the boulder be removed? Everyone's always pushing on it but I didn't know if I could use a boomstick to blow it up or not.

As soon as I saw the fish jump I found a kid and dropped him in the water and was able to get the fish even though it had stopped jumping, or most of the time it worked, I think the game probably gives you a minute or two to find a kid, just drop him where you saw the fish jump.

As far as the boulder goes I've seen two different posts about it, one said that a child would move it on their own at a certain point in the game, another said the boulder was never moved and they had finished the game so who knows.

Here's what I did... as soon as I would open the game, I would select a child, then deselect them. I would then watch the water, but not click on anything. As soon as the fish would appear (which for me was by the dock as soon as the game would start up), I would click on the circle where you bring up the villager stats, and it would select the last villager I had chosen (the child) - grab the child and drag them to the fish. Success for me. I could only get one fish per day.

As far as the boulder goes, I have completed all puzzles, but no luck with the boulder covering the cave. I do have one more hour for my garden flowers to bloom even tho all puzzles are finished, so that is my only idea.

I know in the original game the Golden Child got rid of the boulder. I just wondered if you can blow it up in this game. Course I have the Big Fish version and maybe it's different from other versions.

There doesn't seem to be a reason to keep playing after completing all the puzzles. Even to get all the collections.

I don't know how to post a question so I'm replying to this one. What does the big head mean? I have had several villagers with a big head but I see no advantage. Can anyone help me?

Hi Lori! The Big Head award in the wheel spin game is just a novelty feature that provides villagers with giant heads, but doesn't bestow any special powers or skills.

Again, I have not figured out how to post a question. I am at a standstill with Virtual Villagers origins. I have one more puzzle piece to get and I have no idea what it is or how to get it. Also it's boring when you cannot advance. I have alot of tech points but cannot upgrade or do anything. Ready to quit playing. Sure isn't like the past versions of Virtual Villagers.

Once you get into the forum for VV Origins at the top of the forum threads on the left side there is a tab that says "New Topic" so click on that and you can start a new thread.

What puzzle are you stuck on? What piece do you need?

Have you clicked on the Tech icon on the lower left side of the screen in the game to see what you have that you can upgrade? Like farming or building, etc...

magic makers - top right item.....I don't know what it is or where to find it.

Also....I don't know how to upgrade.....I clicked on tech and I have a lot of tech points but don't know how to use them.

Also I cannot find "new topic" I'm looking at the top left and it appears I'm in forums.

Under tech I have everything maxed but it still has upgrade greyed out. Don't know how to access that.

Hi Lori!

When viewing the forum for a specific game, the link for 'New Topic' appears above the list of existing forum topics. If you're visiting these forums on a desktop computer, just use press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) to search on the page for the phrase 'New Topic', if you're still having difficulty finding it. While within a specific post, you can also click on the 'Topic Options' tab to open a drop-down menu, which contains the 'New Topic' option.

Regarding your maxed out technologies, this means you've reached the maximum possible levels in the chapter you're playing - Chapter 1 is maxed at Level 3 and Chapter 2 at Level 5.
