The Deed

I just got an in game message titled The Deed. What is this?

What does it SAY?

A deed is a bill of sale for the house. As far as I know the message is just part of the back story to the house. and has no direct bearing on gameplay. It lets us know that the first purchaser was called Bill, and he was single when he bought it, IIRC.

Bill's wife was Margaret, right? What are these for anyway? DO they reveal something? Are they the alternate way to fix the house?

Margaret, yes, that's right. I don't think they are an alternative way, but it's possible.
