Dining Room Furniture

I'm not sure how to make the peeps use the dining room furniture that's available in the store. I placed it in the kitchen alongside the default table and placed them over it, but they neither went to prepare a meal nor sat there. There's a children's set of furniture that I figured the wee ones would use for homework, but the dining room set could be used for study as well. Is that dining room furniture just for decoration, or will they eventually use it?

I think it's just for decoration at the moment. However, LDW promise occasional content updates to the game, so the peeps might start interacting with more furniture in the future.

This still seems to be the case in 2016. The peeps don't use the dining room furniture so no need to buy it.
