Unable to build "love shack"

I need to know what the devil I am doing wrong. I have my whole village, including the converted adept doctor, trying to build the love shack. They start poking at it, then wander up towards the top of the village, and then the three orange masked heathens hanging out around the fire and the totem by the berry bush scare them off and they wander back down to the shack, and nothing gets built.

What are they looking for?? where should I move the shack to actually have a chance of getting it constructed? This is VERY frustrating.

Ok, I figured part of this out. I managed to dismantle the hungry totem, but the guys by the firewood are still there and the bees dont last long enough to get my villagers time to get the wood to build the love shack. GRRRRRRRRRR. Help please?

Can I ask another silly question?

Where the devil is the "dry grass" in this one? The only place I can find that looks like it might be dry grass is over by the filthy campsite thing, and no one I drop there does anything with it. What am I missing?

It's the brown spot just beyond the bridge, between the two totems.

Thanks so much. I JUST figured it out. Was looking for something a bit bigger. Found it by accident actually. My hand slipped as I was carrying someone to the lab.
