is there any points to get children on nusery?

I have a few children. everytime I put adult to nursery school and teach there.children would go play.seems it take so long time. I need to collect some mushroom and colectible too.

is there any points my child would get on nursery?because if not,I would better use them to collect things instead..

and how to made our villager automatically teach there when we left the game?

Yes your children will get some experience if you have an esteemed elder teach them.

Teachers don't teach unless the game is open.
