I need help. (a food problem) - 07/18/13 01:13 PM

Hiay guys! So I have a problem with food. You see the berries are running out, and I need food to make a stew. But I don;t have much food. Only like 100! What do I do? I don't want any of my villagers to die!

I need help because they are dying! frown

It's totally fine that your villagers are still picking blackberries. Once that batch runs out, more will ripen after awhile, just not a whole lot, which is why it's important to secure additional food sources.

Now that you have Puzzle 7 completed, your villagers can cook the hard yellow fruit in the pit to soften it up.

To start the process, take a Farmer and drop them at the tree with the yellow fruit. Their action should say: "Shaking down some fruit!" When the fruit falls to the ground the villager will pick it up and take it to the cooking pit, their action saying "Preparing fruit in cooking pit". When the fruit is done cooking, the villager will pick it up and take it to the food bin, their action will say "Carrying fruit to the food bin". Once the fruit is in the bin it will be "counted."

Do not disturb your villager when they're shaking down, cooking or carrying the fruit. If you do, they will drop the fruit, it'll disappear and they'll have to go shake down another one, cook it and carry it to the bin.

Okay, I made my villagers do that but the thing was, my sister solved puzzle 7 but they never went to haves the fruit. They just got the berries and starved. O.O
Even though that has tons of fruit from the trees they never bothered to get them.....

My villagers are starving and I haven't even cleared the rubble so I may have to start over.

yes start over, and may i recommend, use 1 villager for food, 2 for tech, and should either have 2 youths, or 1 adult + 1 youth, or you select 2 additional adults(i recommend 2 kids).
if going with 4 adults, put the 4th on building.
any youths/kids, just use to pick up mushrooms/collection pieces).
but always try to have more villagers on research at a 2.1.1 ratio or more(2.1.1/2.1.0 starting, 3.1.1/3.2.0 when population picks up).

also to add:
grab doubles of "collections"
base 1 collections=100
base 2 collections=250
base 3 collections=1500
