Problem with bugs

Hi!
A week ago I started playing Virtual families for the first time. I've nearly finished the old coins and the nuts and twigs collections, and I'm halfway through the picture pieces one. the problem is that bugs aren't appearing anymore. Is it normal?

Bugs only appear when it rains! Are you playing on a Windows or Mac computer? If so, just be on the lookout for the rain!

I am playing with a Windows computer! And in fact, this morning it rained and two bugs appeared!
