Eeeek! Weirdest names ever!!!

I was looking around for a rainbow haired lady.. so I finally found one... so I happened to catch her name... and... it was Bra!!! Is this normal!!! Anyone!!!

If I made a mistake, which I'm positive I did not, I would never purpously intend to offend anyone. But I'm looking at her name right now!!! It's totaly freaky!

Well, that's definitely a unique name! There's always more than one meaning to a name/word so I wouldn't worry too much about her for example, there's a type of Italian cheese called Bra named after the town it was created in!

It could also be a short form of names like Brady and Brandy! You can always give her a different name if it bothers you though hehe

I just stumbled on the name Brania in my game, maybe the last 3 letters got deleted by accident?

Come to think of it, I like Libra, too. I'll name her first daughter (or something) that, but I'll name her Beatrix ( after Beatrix Potter, the author of "Peter Rabit", the first story I ever read.).
Edit: Meep. Her first daughter came with the name Libra! She married to Rio, a blonde, and is also, if I'm not mistaken, due for some blue haired kids, too. Since I haven't got the hang of backup files yet (even with help!), I just wait for Mr. Perfect.

Well, I just checked a different part of the name generator, and you're right. That name is possible, although I'd change it if I ended up with a peep named Bra.

Girl names JPeg, I started another five families on my laptop and saw that one in passing, also saw Bin and keep running across different spelling of names with Pennesse, Jennesse ect since I live in Tennessee I feel it is a bit odd since the spellings are real close lol.

Unless someone gets bored and types out the entire list of names by pressing that "Try Again" button, I don't think we can really get access to it.. I know that LadyCFII has pulled out the generators to look for the name "Bra" but I haven't seen an official list anywhere yet.

Never know with my history, I might try making one LOL.

At one point while searching for the 'perfect match' I started jotting down names. 123 different ones later, called a halt!
Most are odd, silly, where did they find that? types, but there are even a few normal ones....like Sam, Tom, Max,Glen. Have any of you had 'Hubby' or 'Inch'?

I do keep seeing Hubby pop up on the marriage proposals and it's very tempting to accept him even if I'm looking for a perfect match or certain hairstyle.

The guy chosen as her hubby by one of my peeps was named Di. I swiftly renamed him Don.

I just saw the name "Uolle" or something with similar spelling pop up on my main family..I can't even think of how to pronounce it!

Sammygirl, sounds like our games use the same portion of the generator...I've had freckles, logozo and crisolo, and I just got a new guy named... Bingozo!! I wonder if that's an Italian type of bingo?

My girl named Tiny just married a guy named Hobo, and their kid is named Marcino!

Well, you can't judge a person by it's name, even though sme names are a bit crazy. But that's just the way it is. Oh well, have fun wacky names!

Pan (for a girl?)
Humph (I suppose Humphrey might be acceptable ...)
Gregico (not too bad)
and Hobo (I hope they're not believers in nominative determinism.

I guess Pan might end up with a cooking career that is odd that a mainly male name was assigned to a female, but it also might just be one of the many names that come from objects.

I do feel bad for the peeps named Hobo! My first male in my game was named Hobo.

This bright light went off in my head last night.....My litle Atlanta, the black, curly, long haired girl in my one family looks JUST LIKE my youngest grandaughter, Abigail. Can't imagine why it took me so long to realize that. Now, I'm thinking perhaps I should change Atlanta's name.

I changed all their names using the alphabet:
Abby, Brandon, Carl, Dwight, Elizabeth, Franchesca, Gretchen and Heather!

Yuri is a Russian boy's or girl's name and is definitely not a commonly used one! It's a variation of the name George.

Either they knew someone with this name, heard of it, tried to make one up or looked at some baby naming websites like I do! Lol

Pan was an ancient Greek god. Definitely male! It wouldn't have been so bad if the Pan in the game had been a boy, but it's definitely not a girl's name.

I had twins who I named Jemini and Apollo. Their Mom was named Star. So i couldn't resist, i put space as there last name ;D

I had names such as Load, Login, Link, Vista, Input, Ink, Cursor, Flash, Decimal, Webby, Tico, Diskette, Logica,

Then the next grop of names wera Global, Vulcano, Limbo, Pacifica

Had other name like, Bug, Adopt, Magica so must do magic

My fave one was Bubbles and Orbit, Plenty of normale name not mantioned. I had others that have strange spellings.

Instead of an 'Eeeek! Weirdest name ever', I want to share one
that I think sounds rather lovely. Jesetta, the daugher of Felette. But she gets to join the 'Eeeek' family with a brother named 'Click', an Uncle named Boeing [sorta love that one] and
a dad named Cusozio. Haven't the faintest idea how to pronounce that last one! Jesetta.....doesn't that have a magical flow to it?

I agree, Jesetta is a lovely name. I'm waiting for the day when someone announces here that they have named a real-life baby after a VF peep. I just hope it's a name like Jesetta, though, not one of the odder names that have been mentioned here!

In my main family I started off with me and my fiancé as the founders, and only let them have 2 children, a boy and girl.. and I named them after the names we chose out for our future children.

I do love a lot of the names we chose for the generations after that as well as the ones we didn't change from the game's generator, I could see us using them if we had 2 boys, 2 girls or more than 2 children. We can never control these things after all!

Jesetta is a beautiful name I just hope we won't be seeing any real life children named "Bug", "Typo", "Glitch" or something just as peculiar.

After generations and generations with so many odd names (most if not all already mentioned by others in this thread) I had one born this morning with a name that really seemed odd... Mary. Such a normal name in RL, but so odd for a VF person. I just hope her sisters, Jpeg and Diskette don't make fun of her for her name.

The kids of my current family have strange names.

They're all foods:

Cookie,Cocoa,Paprika and pepper

I think that's a "modern" aspect of the game.
Now there are a bigger selection of names, not only those like you can read in the bibble( )
Also, about the food names, also happens in the VV series.
Me, personally, i found a woman with Papaya as defaul name.
Also there are names that at first impresion doesn't mean nothing, but actually are words on OTHERS languajes, places, or terms. Like: Gin(japanes for silver),Lapis( a precious stone or gem),Mali (african country) Oro (spanish and/or italian for gold)

I have a lady whom the computer name Webby; her occupation--web designer. How appropriate.

i changed brenia..to brena, bingozo to bingo and jpeg to jinja prounounced ginger

Hmm.. I've had Inky, Jpeg, Artozo (My favorite name In VF!), Brenia, and Excel.
I had changed Jpeg to Janet. VFLover, I've had a girl named Paprika too. Oddly enough She named a couple of her kids after spices!

I've found some really odd names myself. I've had girls with names such as Zodiac (which just sounds plain weird in a girl), Ly (yes, just Ly...wonder if it's short for Lynette or Lysandra or something of the sort), Global (warming? XD), Ro (again, the same thing as Ly...) and Smiley (she wasn't that cheerful).
Among the weirdest boy names were Burur, Farcone, Glitch, Hippo, Legend, Master, Phantom, Seven and Uolle. Seriously, Uolle...what kind of name is that?

And once I got twin boys and one of them was named Gigolo. Poor kid. I did end up changing his name.

Another time I got twin girls named Saphesse and Saphette. Not absurdly strange, but the names were so similar I could never tell them apart.

I've had Smiley and Uolle (I think it's pronounced ooh-ole or u-ole). I've also had a boy named Kiki!

The names of my family is... My first one is Ribbons... I renamed her Ribbon... Her husband is named Kiketto... Their little girl is named Frie (How do you say that name)... and the boy I found when there was a soft knock at the door was named...Lucky?... I renamed him Luck...

I've gotten this name on one of my games too. I also got "Emma" once, but that was Virtual Families 2.

Now that I think about it, I think I got Bra in VF2 as well, but I could be wrong.
