I just had to show you a photo montage of Sparkle, she's a rare one!

I sneakily looked at the program's image files and fell in love with her and knew I had to adopt her if she popped up.

I spent what must have been at least half an hour clicking through adoption papers to find her...

12 Years later.... Habit, Galatia, Detto, Fabesse, and Kristella (no longer a baby!). The 3 older children already went off to college. My, how time flies!

My Fam! I can't believe I finally got them all to sleep at the same time! I had to take a pic, it won't last long and may never happen again!

Sadly my eldest two have gone off to college but this was too cute to pass up, my remaining children (though I think the new eldest is too cool for story time with mum) were being told a story!! Made me go aaawww!!!

LOVE MY FAMILIES!!!!!

I just signed in to the game this morning and TWO kids went off to college. We had the full six! We had 5 and adopted one, with the last one being birthed to Eva at 44, after maybe 8 tries.

This is my first gen Family which I took a screenshot of their pet turtle sleeping with one of the kids. You can just see the turtle under his head like a pillow. The turtle followed and slept with this kid all the time until he went off to college.

Has anyone noticed how the kids don't seem to look much like the parents, but look like each other? My family will demonstrate:

They seem to look like their parents to me, if the mother was the one on the top left and father is the one in the checkered blue shirt. I find it easier to pick out family traits on the family screen where you can see the close ups of their faces. If you go through the family screens in this thread you can sort of reverse-engineer the genetics at work.

My only blonde family member, for example, was adopted, and mom and dad have red / brown hair and blue / brown eyes. so the kids tend to have a mixture of their hair color or darker, but not lighter, and would have the eyes of one of the parents.

I think they resemble the parents somewhat, like this girl and her dad:

Actually, the mom is the one with black hair. I can see a resemblance between the youngest (red dress) and the mom - their hair is up in a similiar style. But since neither of the parents are redheads, I just thought it was kind of strange.

OHHH and someone said their kids are redheads and neither parent has red hair. I am a redhead, my mom is blonde (is that spelled wrong? Firefox says it is...) and my my dad has dark brown hair.

Oh and even though my mom is a blonde and my dad brunette I believe my grandmother was a redhead...though I barely remember as she was losing her hair from chemo when I was old enough to remember much.

My second, but favourite family. I adopted Gallia and she married Galatia. They adopted three children and had three more of their own. They've lived a long, wealthy, happy life, mastered at their careers, sent all the children to college, spent a long time together after, and died at their late 60's.

Their doughter Akie was found on the doorstep. After she took the house she married Snap. After three single babies and two shots of baby boost, my first set of twins--Cooper and Sam are born. They look like their older brother Dante. I'm planning for the sixth child; I like the house to be crowded.

My Family, thought feeding the birds was cute, she also feeds the fish bread. Bet she's gonna be a vet lol

Here is one of my family. Dynamite and Pixie have six kids. The eldest Brunu (M), Triplets - Pierone (M), Tone (M), Yodo (M), one adopted - Pod (M) and the youngest Logica (F). The house is full of noise, kids running around and laughing.

This is my family and Mary is one with black hair and the female with the blond plats is mom and Goarge is dad and the male twins in the pick have already gone to collage. This was my second generation. A third generation is already started since Goarge and Rebecca died and Mary is taken over the house sinch this was taken.

My current generation is quite odd so far, all the kids have different coloured hair xD

okay, i don't have any pictures of the whole families, but i just had to post because one of my peeps had a girl who i think looks just like...well, her name says it all:

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHA! OMG!!!!! LOLOLOLOL

I have the same looking mother in one of my families, and she is a born trouble maker. It used to take ages to make her complete a work cycle, she begins to water the flowers and gives up in the middle. Just a minute ago, I tried at least ten times to make her prepare a meal (everyone was hungry), at last I (she) managed, she was still on the job when I began putting the peeps on the table, and the the third kid refused to eat. When I looked at the table I saw it was empty. I immediately checked the mother, and guess what, she was already cleaning the table (most probably the first thing she did after preparing the meal was to clean the table). I sighed 'how typical!'.

I tried again to make her prepare the meal a few more times (yes, I'm also stubborn), but still the whole family is hungry. I'll go back to the game now, and this time will give that duty to the husband.

Okay, I wanted to brag about my favourite family here . This is the thied gen. I picked Dante to take over the house because of his name (which was given by the game). His parents worked so hard and left him some 75000$, so when he got married with Skye, they upgraded everything. Then at their first trial they had this twin boys Greco and Cooper (which definitely took after their father). Strangely, Dante had twin brothers named Sam and Cooper which also look exactly like twins. Here's a screenshot of a family dinner:

Seen as everyone else is doing it I thought I'd put one up too. My twin boys are missing because they've both gone off to college (do they ever come back?) so the two little peeps are both adopted one's, aren't they adorable.

No they do not come back from college, except for the one you choose to inherit the house after Mom and/or Dad passes away. You may get a periodic e-mail from them while they are in college.

It's amusing to see that all the boys are dressed alike. Did you buy new clothes for them, or is that how they appeared? They look like they are about to go off for soccer practice.

That reminds me, when you change their outfits, can you change back again without having to buy a new one? That would be really cool if when you buy them an outfit it gets added to a wardrobe or whatever and then you can change their clothing whenever you like without having to pay for new one's each time. Generally I leave their clothes as is unless I really can't stand the outfit or one appears in the store that I absolutely love.

Starting bottom right in green dress is Lilli 16, Zak 15, middle row from left to right = Milli 11, Indie 13, Zen 18, Top left to right is Pip 47 and Bernadette also 47. 'm sure Zen will be off to college very soon, and Kai, my youngest in the family who is aged 10 is away with a talent scout. Pip was always unsure whether Kai's darker hair and skin tone was more to do with the milkman than himself, but having said that his great, great great grandfather had a dark moustache so maybe?.....

Here's one of my 5 families. All 6 children are enjoying the pool while the parents are looking on. I love how the youngest one (in the red dress) is floating on the water. So cute!

The same thing happened to me with my first generation. I think Dad died first then about 10 minutes later Mum died. It's kind of sweet really...you could say that they couldn't live without one another...:)

yes they r NiCi!!! i told my brother-in-law the other day, i may not have kids in real life, but combine VV1 2 3 and VF and i have well over a thousand!

And believe me, while 'real' kids are a joy, these virtual peeps don't give you attitude when you tell them it's bedtime!

I have my VF running all day. You cant really Do much if you dont have the stuff you need so i figure the more games going the better. For me it means more time with my peeps!! And thats always a good thing!!

Do you do different things with them? Like one you'll buy all the upgrades and another you won't, that sort of thing?

I do, One of them i will make 'work-a-holics, they are my 'Rich Families', One i will make be like a ... I guess you would say Middle class Family. One a Low income family, One i try to 6 kids, and one Just a few. On some of them i buy all upgrades as soon as i can afford them. Others i dont buy any upgrades. Also some are Paired by Jobs others by their want for children others by age, It just depends on what type of family i want at that time!

That sounds like a lot fun, I might consider doing something similar...

Here is Lavinia after taking penicilin. She decided to sleep with mom.

Oh how sweet Moonlyght! The only time one of mine crawled in the parents bed was rigth after it's mom passed away.

One of these kids is gonna be my third generation, though I'm not sure which one. All the kids are redheads, except for the adopted one, which I stupidly paid $500 for the talent scout so I don't have her in the house anymore. The adopted one is blond, and looks more like the mom than these kids do. The mother is blond and the dad's dirty blond. Odd? Kind of. Disappointing? Nooot really.

That is not correct. I'm afraid the triplets won't be seen again. When one or both the parents die you will be able to choose one of the kids to inherit the house, so one of them might appear again, but not all three.

Even during the transition process, since the kids' ages are randomised, it is likely that they will no longer appear to be triplets on the adoption screens.

Anat, some siblings have identical looks even if they're not twins or triplets. You can distinguish multiples from singleton babies by their clothes. Twins and triplets have identical outfits.

Lukerie, I'm loving your families. Is Lisa from your second family adopted? I can see you've gotten the uncommon hairstyles for the kids. Haven't had any of those. Also nice hair of your twins in your fifth family. Can you tell that I'm a little fixated on their hairstyles?

I wish that was the case Anat, but unfortunately it's not. Once they go to college or get picked up by a talent scout or pass away that's it, they're gone for good. Once a new generation becomes available then they can become available for adoption but other than that, I can only see them in my family tree now.

Hmm, now that I've seen my families lined up, I noticed that both my rainbow haired girls (families 2 and 5) had blonde kids (except for Chaka who was adopted). Their grandchildren, however, were the purple haired girl, the green haired boy and the really red haired boy (in both families). I think they're continuing their grandma's legacy of having bright colored hair. Their haircolors combined match that of their grandma's.

This is my first family since the reformatting of our pc about 10 days ago.
My precious Morgan withhis mowhawk hairstyle. I adored that peep. He always just seemed to get on with his work, loved to tell stories to the kids and was a fantastic husband to Theresa. He died at the age of 65. Sadly missed.





My second slightly younger family has my first bald headed hubby named Wired. He and his lovely wife Java, first son Linux came with their names already in place so I named the other's after PC bits and bobs too! The last little girls hasn't reached the age of two yet and is still carried by mom. AS soon as she 'drops' I shall name her 'nvidia'





And finally my third family. LOOK who I have back!!!! How excited am I?? Morgan!!( although he is still named 'Colonel' as he's still carried by mom. Even wearing the same clothes as he did before by the looks of it! my beloved Morgan has been reincarnated awwwww....

Hang in there serendipity8777. I tried using Gimp as well and was having a hard time even creating a new layer! I did find some tutorials online that I just need to sit down and do to learn how to use the program. I wish a class was offered online (college or other)... that's how I learned Photoshop.

Mostly it's trial and error with Gimp. I'll tell you the secret to changing colors (in my experience): Play around with the settings on the brush. There's a drop-down box above the opacity and scale options once you select the brush.

Alright, I have a new set of twins that were born with the same name! I think they may actually be clones! The first thing I did was rename them "Tony and Tommy".

I love how Nebula looks but if Andy is well-behaved that gives you a good reason to choose him too! It's really up to you You can wait it out and see what they're like as adults.. like what career they have and whether they want children.

Elisa, their behavior as children has no bearing whatsoever on how or what they'll be as adults. When time to choose a new gen the game randomly generates everything about them; personality, age, job. The only thing they maintain from their childhood is their name and likes/dislikes, as well as their place on the family tree.

I generally just choose the peep I like most when the time to choose comes up and rarely make that choice before that time.

That's true! I noticed that most of my choices seem to be sentimental I pick favorites while they're young such as if they gave me a hard time or not.. then compare that to their adult versions with their new attributes.

I have recently had a family with 5 kids that are all adorable and well behaved... don't know how I'll choose >.<

When I can't make up my mind who gets to inherit, I usually choose the youngest so they will play longer - and have more time to have more kids lol.

Today Easter Rain had a ghostly visitor. The ghost and 'dead' peep only lived a day after the real peep died. Poor Easter Rain had to mourn the death of her hubby three times in one day. By the third time her happiness bar was completely empty, and she died a short time later.

I had been wanting a ghost in my game since I've been playing Cheron. But after seeing the affect that mourning his death three times had on Easter Rain I don't think I'd want it to happen again. Yet at the same time it was kind of neat.

This is my first time hearing about "ghosts" in the game. So far I haven't had any deaths yet, but when I do, I will look out for any unearthly visitors. I'm glad they've changed the way that our "little ones" die, because I was dreading having to wake up one morning and find a decaying skeleton like with the VV games!! *shivers*

Oh I know what you mean Michelle. I hated the decaying skeleton's in the VV games. It seems that it would have a bad affect on kids minds too.

Okay, I promised to show you screenshots of my Irish families, here's one. The odd thing is, the two kids from the previous generation that are circled were named Logan and Bridget, but as you can see their names have been changed when I re-named their little nephew and niece below. Also Frenella is not re-named yet as she's still a babe in arms, but I'm thinking of naming her Siofra (Shee-fra)!

If you're saving your attachments in a imaging program like Paint, make sure there's no extra white space. You can do this in paint by going to Image -> Attributes and then change the width and height to 1 then paste your screenshot in. It'll resize itself to the proper size of the image.

Your Irish family is really good looking! I found it great that Connor and Ciaran are on there because they look like my father who is from Ireland.

I thought this was so cool. My peep inherited the house, got a husband and had a few kids. The next time I opened the game, there was an adoption, I clicked "yes" and it turned out to be a little girl who looked EXACTLY like mommy. Down to the outfit and everything.

What you have there tkdgirl is what they call a RARE CHILD, that is a child born out of the expected head zone for the parents. An unusual child, congrats!

I have matched Mr. Spike and Miss Blue before and they can easily have Mr. Mohawk or Miss Rainbow for a child, also look-a-like Mr. Spike (which you have) and Miss Blue. Miss Rainbow and Miss Blue are especially adorable when they are little, although both can be little Divas and spend quite a bit of time in the bathroom!

I had to post this. A rare occurance indeed. First try my couple had Twin Boys which I named Samuel and Arthur, 5 years later, they had Triplet Girls Gwen, Morgana, and Rachel. The twins are now 8 and the girls are now 3

Yes that is exactly the reason whey I dress them differently, I accidentally dosed the wrong twin once when one of them had to have a shot of Vancomycin.(they were standing close together. So yep it's easier to tell them apart that way.

I always dress my twins and triplets with different clothes as well - in fact that's the first thing I do when they are born: change clothes.

i have been playing this game for more than a month and suddenly i got bored of one of my families so i decided to start it over , and while choosing the new person to adopt i found a girl with a hair full of colors maybe you had her before but for me it was the 1st time i see her , i chose her and when she got a proposal it was from a man with a spiky hair , and it was also the first time i see him on this game , so it was amazing really they are my favourit till now , they work a lot and they are active , oh and the first thing the woman did was :D:D oh on my previous families i used to wait for days for this trophy but she just gave it to me on the first few moments ,AND the best of all is it that the first daughter looks exactly like her mother , amazing couple really

Hiya everyone, I'm Daeben. This is my first family.

Kel and Piaper married young he was 24 and she was only 21, they took some time before having their first born Pennette. The rest of the children came along every 3 to 4 years, I was shocked to see lil Katella come out after the first older three were all dark headed. The two youngest Doralena and Trishella are 3 and a half years apart.

Time has gone by and all but the youngest child Trishella is out of the house, Kel is now 59, Piaper is 56 and lil Trishella is 16.

Pennette has been married for almost 7 years, her and her husband have three childen ages 2, 4 and 6.

Bengory works all the time and travels alot for his job.

Paulone is in his last year of school, he has met a nice girl and Piaper thinks she may be the one.

Katella is studying all the time, she plans to open up her own company some day and hopes to be able to help take care of her mother and father.

Doralena was always a free spirit, along with her studies she has become a great supporter for the school and help with every fund raiser and fair they have.

Congratulations on your beautiful family Jersygirl. Yes, this is a great couple, a perfect match for Miss Rainbow!

All my kids were still home when their parnets passed. They didnt get married until he was in his late fourty's, so all the kids were young enough to still be at home.

they ve made 5 children till now and they are still 36 and 37
the 1st and last girl look like mommy with the rainbow hair
the second girl didnt get that but she has nice blue hair , and they also have a twins , the boys look exactly like their father with the spike hair and they even are wearing the same outfit

A beautiful family Elisa. I agree, little Miss Blue can be quite bratty when young, although I tend to be a permissive caretaker, I only interfere when what they are doing could lower their health meter, such as playing in the dirt. Little Miss Bun and Mr. Spike make a perfect couple! Very sweet they are all asleep at the same time!

nice family Elisa , and i think you should let one of the girls with the rainbow hair inherit , they are rare + i have a rainbow haired mother and she is a very active worker and very good mother

they just made their 6th child , it's a boy and he has he spikey hair like father

the eldest daughter was taken by the talent scout , i miss her but i thought it will be useful for her

2- a very nice thing that i noticed , that EVERYTIME the mother goes to work on her career in the workshop , the daughter with the blue hair follows her and she keeps "playing in the workshop" and she NEVER leaves the workroom untill the mother is done with her work and leaving
3-the mother is having a meal with her 5 children while the father is working on his career


O and did i mention that the very first trophies that this family got were "making latte" by the mother and "doing kong fu" by the father !!

i used to wait for many generations on the other families to get these trophies , but this fam is really exceptional

I've lost many of my peeps but this is the first time I've seen this happen. Becky lost her husband Kevin after 39 years of marriage and six kids. She was "feeling low" and depressed so I watched while she went to the ........sandbox! I hope it helped!

I went to my new generation just after I took the screenshot, Becky was so sad it broke my heart, so I sent her to live in Hawaii with one of the kids! Her daughter took over the house and is wearing the red version of the dress, I'll post a screenshot tomorrow, I have to go to bed now as I have to get up at 5 am!!

OMG Dansmot, I have never seen an adult get into the sandbox before, she must have felt really bad! That's such a sad photo! Glad you sent her to Hawaii!

The worst I ever saw was when I changed the dislikes on one of a pair of twins but not the other. The one who was not changed woke up feeling depressed and went and sat on the backyard grass all by herself, her activity said she was "feeling lonely". I felt really bad for her too, she perked up when I changed her dislikes to match her twin.

i thought it's impossible to make babies when the mother becomes 49+ , but my family made their baby number 6 when the mother was 50 years old and tired

I have a lil update of my first family.

Kel and Piaper's youngest Trishella has left the house off to college, Katella and Doralena came to pick her up and drive her up there. After the girls left, for a few hours in the evening both Kel and Piaper went about doing what they always do, working and cleaning(Piaper is a clean freak/cleaning is one of her likes).

Once it hit abt 8pm almost 9pm they did the sweetest thing I have even seen them do. They both stoped working and went outside to look at the stars. They did this three times back to back at the same time together.

as soon as I clicked adopt on one of the previous generation kids(Paulo),the adoption event appeared , so later when Paulo got married , both him and Ponto (the adopted child) celebrated marriage with the wife but the funniest thing that the wife DISLIKED running so she was too slow to catch up with them and when she finally brought the pie both the husband and the son were done with the celebration , ( the husband was taking out the garbage )

Stephen and Sarah are 6 and Samantha is 3. The parents were 47 and 48 when they had Stephen, I was getting really nervous they won't have kids. Then the next morning they adopted Sarah right after they 'dropped' Stephen then tonight they adopted Sam.

When I just checked they adopted another little girl. Now they have twice as many kids as the last generation mostly by adopting.

Here are 3 of my families.


This one WAS my all girl household. Rosa and Aaron are very industrious parents. First they had Libra(away at college), then Lilia, 16, (dressed just like mom), then Carie and Bonny, the twins, 13. Next came Gemma, age 9. Finally there was Lance, the youngest and the only boy. Carie is my favorite because she giggles when you pick her up! I LOVE her. So far she is my pick to inherit!

I think this one is cute because all 3 of the younger children look EXACTLY like mom. The parents are Robin and Pasha and the kids are Eva, Bella and Adriana. There are two kids away at college.

If you look in the Family screen you will see the name of the new-born baby. If you don't like it you won't be able to change it until he or she reaches two and starts running around, though.

Callie- the youngest edition to the family, is unfortunately very weak. She getting better as time goes. I'm still a little worry for her though...

Elegie, Hopefully you find some antibacterial hand gel in the store to give to Callie, it will improve her health! Vitamins are good too, but not as good as the gel.

this family adopted Pasha , when the mother and father were 57 and 59 , then they died when she was 5 that was the saddest thing i have ever seen since i started VF
she was very depressed and suddenly she was "excited about the new baby" (what new baby! there is no one else in the house)
that made it sadder!
(i don't think i will start the new generation soon , i wonder how will her life go , all alone and only 5 years old !! )

Sitting all by herself feeling a bit lonely and depressed with no one else in the house, and only five years old. Yes, that is the saddest photo I have seen yet. You should probably send her to live with a sister or brother out of kindness and start a new family.

Yes that was extremely sad but now Pasha is 8 and happy , she is still all alone , playing with toys almost all the time till i ask her to clean the house , she really helps well with that

she is now 23 and on the first trial after her marriage she had TRIPLET the 1st triplet in all my 5 families till now.

I just got this, I've been playing it for a while. Here's my family at the moment, it's the 1st Generation....but I'm starting to think the parents might not have much longer in them



Jenny and Erika have left for college....and Sookie is 17 so she'll be going soon. Rowan is 14 and little Hazel is 4 right now.

Hazel was a bit of a miracle child because ever since Rowan was born I started having alot of difficulties with making a new baby....then when I was about to give up, little Hazel came into our lives

My poor 12 year old has been a bit sickly all her life, she's 12 now and has an infection so the Doctor said to give her penicillin which I did. The she went off to bed, I couldn't find her then I found her here......in Mom and Dad's bed!

Yes, when they are sick or depressed (like after losing a loved one) they sometimes sleep in the wrong bed--kids in parents' bed or parent in kid's bed. When your little one is recovered, she will go back to her own bed.

WAS IT A BOY OR GIRL

A boy called Loot(Which I renamed to Luke).I got rid of my savegame files by accident, so I can't get a screenshot of him. I forgot what he looked like, but I know he has red hair.

I am currently on the 3 generation (I had 2 other families but the parents on those ones died with no kids on the 12th and 14th generation ) The mom is Allesandra (41, long,wavy dark brown hair), the dad is Nathan (38, ruffled, brown hair) and they had the kids, James (short brown hair and glasses, 17), the twins, Angelica and Allison (long brown hair, 13), Jonathan (6, looks like James), and Ava (3, wavy brown hair in ponytail with blue scrunchie) In all of my generations EVERY SINGLE kid has brown hair and brown eyes.

How do u get ghosts and change your furniture and all that stuff? Is it only for ppl who have VF on their iPhone?

Emerald Cat, ghosts were a glitch that were fixed, and people change their furniture using mods, which can be found in Virtual Families Mods.
Edit:-And I don't think people can put mods on their iPhone or get ghosts on their iPhone, so no, it not just for people with it on their iPhone.

That happens because she was checking email at the time, which is not something your little people will do on their own, so you can't praise them for it. Well, you can but the program gets confused. So it tosses that "Unknown String Id" at you as a way of saying it doesn't know what to do with the information you've given it. (And yes, the fruit is considered a reward/praise. )

I now understand.....
but like i said she and her husband(his name was Ice) passed away together a few hours ago......

Next they had twins Ursula and Una. Then they had triplets - Uno, Ullery, and Uriah. Obviously this was my U generation. But I love that there are so many little kids running around at the same time!

But, here's the fam. Stephen, the oldest, in only 14, so, no one's going to college just yet. It makes for a disappointing game at times, but, as they age at least two years everyday, I can't really complain.

Wendy Darling had two younger brothers, John and Michael. Their parents' names were George and Mary Darling. It might be fun to start a Darling family in VF and see if they can have the right kids - although they'd have to be in girl, boy, boy order. There's a dress that lloks a little like Wendy's in VF - the one with the white apron. John has glasses and wears a top hat so he might be a little more difficult to dress.

I don't know how you could account for Peter Pan; he wasn't related to Wendy's family.

I guess for Peter Pan you would have to get an adoption event, and hope it was a boy.

Actually, in Wendy's family, I just got an adopted boy, who I will be renaming Peter.

Actually I think I like this story better... not going to ruin it because it is a great series, but the series is called Peter & the Starcatchers (Continued with Peter and the Shadow Theives.. then The Secret of Rundoon, and Finally the Sword of mercy. And Wendy's mother's name was actually Molly! Arnie, I bet you know that Molly means Mary )
