Do you have a Peter, probably not because Peter is one in a million.

A young 2 year old boy follows in mommy and daddy's footsteps by working in the office.

It isn't a screenshot, but I found it amusing. There was a big rainstorm so I was doing the circuit looking for bugs. At the same time, both of my young virtual children came outside and started looking for bugs. I hope they found some because I didn't. :p

One time I actually dropped mom onto the 18 year old son hoping for a "telling a story" interaction but instead I got "They have enough kids already!" which was...kinda...disturbing.

This is Holden, at 56, all the kids except for the last one left home already, wife and pre-teen in bed, telling a joke to nobody in particular in the middle of the night in the living room.

OK considering that I am about the same age as Twinkle (interesting names here) I have never gone on a binge to "get attention" as an adult!

Not that this is "humorous" so-to-speak but I thought it cute and odd. Odd in the respects that I have NEVER got a whole family of 2 parents, 6 kids AND a dog to go to bed at the same time. The dog was following one of the kids when I showed her the bed and she decided to use it.

My favorite are the Game shows "Wheel of Fortune" & "Jeopardy" on TV. (Neat idea by the way)

What program are you using to do your mods? I don't know how to do them and would really like to learn but the only paint program that I have is mspaint. If you ever get a minute, maybe you could tell a 45 year old computer illiterate person how to do it.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to us MS Paint for all of the game images (although it will work for some of them), since it doesn't support transparency in images. If you want to see a bit of a tutorial written by one of our young community members, you can look here.

There are at least a couple of free Windows programs that will do the job. Two I know of are Paint.NET and The GIMP. There's a Mac version of The GIMP at http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/

I've never tried them so I can't say how good they are.

Browsers can't show files saved in .BMP format. It's probably best to save the file as a .JPG, although a .PNG file will also display if your software supports that format. Files saved as JPGs are usually smaller than PNGs, though, and are much smaller than BMPs.

Trish is by herself since her parents passed when she was 16. She's 18 now and I'm just going to wait until she heads to college before bringing in the next generation. Yea, that is odd. None of mine have ever done that before -- hope he's not sick or something. That's where mine go if they are going to die, but I've only had elders die, so I don't know what would happen if a young peep died.

Yesterday, I was in a grumpy mood, and wanted to play with my peeps, but it was their night time, so I changed to daylight. I guess, the father couldn't adopt that, so he called children to bed (or maybe he wanted some peace since he began working right after that). Is there a way to take a screen shot without using the print screen key? I don't get anything when I do that.

stonzee, are you using a laptop; in some some laptops you have to press another key ('fn' maybe?) to activate prtscr key.

stonzee, if you're using a wireless keyboard you may have an F Lock key like mine does. If it's off you won't be able to use the print screen key.

Scrubbs, the shredder comes with the office upgrade #3.

Story time - it really worked for daddy!

I might be pointing out something obvious, but you have to Paste the print screen into another program (like Paint or Photo Shop)...nothing does happen if you only press print screen...

I don't know if this is the problem, I just thought I'd point it out as I think everyone is assuming that the button isn't working but this might not be the case.

Have you got it on select the little box on the top left as if you have it on any other thing for ie A or anything in the tool box it not work. It well work if you got it highlight by clicking on the the select box first.

Hi stonzee! Read below, and I'll explain it to you how I have to do it Sweetie.

Just in case you don't know, after clicking on the print screen button you need to open an image program such as Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, etc / RIGHT CLICK in the grey work area / and PASTE AS NEW IMAGE/ crop it if you want to. / Then save your screenshot as a jpeg or whatever format you choose.

After doing the above if your screenshot doesn't paste it means your F Lock is on and you need to click the F lock button and start over. Hope this works for you. Big hugs!!!!

Hub and his wife Kaiser just had their sixth baby, Fargone. The boys in family rushed in, went to the closet and each gave Kaiser a present in celebration. The youngest girl, Letta, decided to hide one of her toys under her bed.

I just checked my two games (three deaths - one an eighteen year old!!) and my poor, depressed widower went for a run on the treadmill. So did the kitty.

One of the kids had finished showering and left before turning it off. mom stood there in the water for a few mins before she decided she needed to shut off the shower

One of my families had a little boy who as the absolute image of my own youngest son! He was a prem baby (22 years ago!), has a funny little flat head and wears specs, just like the child in my virtual family - of course I had to re-name him 'Chrissie'!

Sadly, his 'parents' died when he was 17, he mooched around the house, depressed for a while (cheered up a little when I gave him sweets!) then went off to college leaving the house empty.

Poor little orphan Chrissie quite brought a lump to my throat!

I have a few. One is my kids swimming outside the pool. They just kept floating until they were out of the pool. It was funny to watch since 2 of them were doing it at the same time. I think I only caught one it the screenshot tho. The other one is my 3rd family, 1st generation. I upgraded the office to level 2 and they were so happy they floated down the stairs. The guy was working on his career when i got the office upgrade (mail-order butcher) so he was getting something out of the bottom cabinet. thats why hes on his knees. (you think that would hurt going down the stairs on your knees)

It's invisible! It's a mod someone made that removes the bed image so it looks like the sleeping people at just floating. It should be in the Mods Section of the forums.

No images, but I lol'd when my family's parents tried to make a baby, and the dad's age coinicided with him going from blonde to white-haired immediately after they were finished.

Okay so the parents died and I chose Lucia to take the house. While she was checking the e-mail I noticed she was "A bit blue". After reading the e-mail she went to do a little dance because she had $19 added to the bank. Well I gave her bananas while she was doing it and her action changed to this....

Yes, this is a small glitch in the game that's been reported several times before. If you praise a peep for answering email you'll get that message.

I think it's because the game only expects you to praise actions initiated by the peep, not ones you've told them to do. Since peeps can't answer email on their own the game is confused and throws up the error message.

I really had to log in to post this - it made me laugh a lot!

Fabola decided to enter the garden, step on the flowers to poke plants. As I thought that was really naughty of her, I decided to print the screen and save it. I selected her and the "poking at plants" action was there.

When I was going to save the image I saw that she had come up with an excuse (like children usually do). She was "doing nothing" there! *laughs* (but her actions do say otherwise! *laughs*)

This happened right after I overstuffed everyone with supper. Mom put the stuff away and then the kids sat down (without my help) for more.

That must be a very comfortable couch!!!

I prased one who sent me an email straight after she sent it and just after I clicked on OK. she waved back and she resent me another one of the same repeated.

Also if I praised them to see what happens just after he/she read the email and I clicked on OK after I read the the email action 'No'

PS. I like the rainbow haired girl I started a new game as the 4th player to try and get the rainbow hair girl and I kept clicking on try again, and again and again and again... half an hour later try again and try again and try again... sigh try again. I just kept getting red heads males female blonds, browns and so on but no rainbow haired girls sigh. In the end after going though at least 100s of trys I failed misably In the end had to settle for a red haired girl and hoped she might have a baby with that hairstyle.

i have a kid and she is a spitting image of the mother and i put the dad on the mom thinking it was a girl and the action read "Trying to make baby"

Boozo was taking a nap when his mother prepared a meal and all the others in the family ate. When he awoke I plopped him down at the table to eat after all the others had finished. I didn't notice his dad, who cleared the table of the dishes leaving poor Boozo sitting at an empty table. When he got up and ran away, he was magically filled, though.

Ann, I also did that when I started 2 of my games. Luckily I was able to get the rainbow haired girl twice after lots of tries. Haven't seen any rainbow haired children though, unless they're adopted.

Well, I just learned how it feels when one of your first founder peeps die I named them after me and my boyfriend Bo, so I definitely got really attached to them. I chose their son to start the next generation (he's the only one that sent e-mails after leaving) and he gets a proposal from a woman named Ro! So to honor Bo, I chose her and she ended up cleaning after all the meals by herself and keeping the house nice and tidy. I figure there has to be a catch!

Besides bothering the fish, I think I found it:

She married Paulone, a Recipe Inventor.

Both kitchen careers and both love to cook. Nothing too unique there. But then, they began having babies.....

First was a daughter with the cute lil brunette updo. They named her Paprika. I chuckled, thinking what a cute name for their firstborn, considering their careers.

Next, another daughter. Identical to the first. They named her Pepper. Again, I chuckled, thinking what a coincidence.

Third was a son. Evidently they weren't too happy about having a boy (even though I was.) They named him Glitch.

By the time a fourth child was due, I had forgotten about the name coincidence... until she was born. Identical to her sisters, they named her Cocoa. Well that really made me giggle because poor lil Glitch looked really out of place on the family tree and his name just made it worse.

Time for number 5, another daughter. You guessed it - she was identical to her sisters. Bet ya can't guess what they named her! Cookie!

The "Food Girls" were growing up fast and poor Glitch was tortured by them always occupying the bathroom sinks and mirrors. I decided it was time for a sixth. As I dropped Webby onto her Recipe Inventing hubby I said, "OK Guys, let's have another boy!" (Yes, I talk to my lil peeps.) Nothing.

I tried again, this time saying, "OK we need one more baby, but let's try to stay away from the food related names." Nothing.

They were getting into their 40s and I was getting a little nervous, so I boosted them and tried again, repeating my request. Nothing.

Not one to give up when I want something from my lil peeps, I tried again. But this time I said, "OK. I'm sorry about the name comment. Just give me one more baby and you can name it anything you like. I don't know why you'd want to name kids like that anyway." TaaaDaaaa!!! Baby Number Six was born!
I happily clicked onto the family screen to see what we had had, to my surprise what I found was their answer to my question:

I had triplets April, May, and June. Well April and June along with both parents died, but did May mourn? No she went and celebrated her mothers promotion and then adopted a little boy making her a single mother at 17.

Sometimes my little people walk through the house to get to the garbage can when pulling weeds. However, I picked two of them up when they were doing this, and here is the result: weeds growing in the floor! has this happened to anyone else?

When you interrupt them from picking up weeds, wrappers or loose socks they will just drop them and do something else You could give yourself a little garden in the home by doing that!

That bug was fixed the day after the game was released. You can obtain an update to the latest release of the game (which has many important fixes) by downloading the game again from the site where you purchased it.

I'll be honest, mods scare me. I love them, but they scare me. I debated a long time over them when I was playing Plant Tycoon last year and in the end I was scared to risk my oft-troublesome computer.

The worst thing that can happen is losing the original image files that came with the game and having to reinstall or ask someone to send over their copies..

Nope, no Vista...thankfully. Just an XP that's getting a bit dated and an inability to do backup as was instructed when I first learned about mods. They sure are gorgeous though. I'm drooling over here!

An online gold farmer is a game player that will either exploit the game or do the same tasks over and over to earn a lot of the game's currency. They'll likely then try to sell it to someone for real money.

With this knowledge, I find it perfect how his "Likes" is playing LOL!

Marella was a single mom with an adoptee until she got married. On her wedding day, little Byron decided to celebrate his Mom's marriage (while Mom and new Dad were trying for a baby ) but at the same time he's feeling a little sad (maybe because now he has someone else to share his Mom's attention with).

Aw! That's a wonderful story tied into one picture serendipity.. I'm sure Byron will cheer up! Let's hope he doesn't start misbehaving once his mommy has another baby

Congrats on the triplets Amethyst and yeah, I love it when the kitty starts scratching on the furniture. Thankfully, since it's a virtual couch it won't show any damage so we get to sit back and enjoy the cuteness of it!

Yep one time I don't mind a cat scratching the furniture. In real life we have two cats, a black male named Jasper and a calico silver point mix female named Spirit. Both are fixed, because in Tacoma, Washington where I live, if you don't get your pets spayed or neutered. you have to pay a breeders fee or a fine.

Thanks, they're first born too. They are now 16...they'll be off to college shortly. I named them Meredith, Miranda, and Marianne.

I work in cat rescue and we get all of the cats fixed since strays and loose breeding cats will fill up the pounds faster and therefore more we have to rescue. Most pounds will put cats of any age, health or breed to sleep once they run out of room, so that's where we come in.

Well I didn't get a picture of this,but I started a game for my friend when she came over because she really wanted to play it.. and we talk over the phone about it.. (she has like alotta $$$ because she refuses to spend any) anyways her person got a marriage proposal and disided to turn it off and call her later..

Then when I checked on later it had married the man without my say-so... then when he died she got a marriage propasal! When she was old... that old friend from collage just took a step up!... the sad part was after marriage.. she went to live with god... Poor guy.. he was left alone.. funny story though...

If you close the game without pressing "Marry" or "Reject" it automatically accepts the proposal and you have your uninvited guest living with you

One time on one of my games. I accepted a marriage proposal for my female, then I shut the game off to go to bed, I woke up and checked on my two peeps, and my female wasn't married anymore.

I guess they divorced each other, overnight. That could be the next new hit game, Virtual Lawyers, a lawyer for those virtual divorces.

I have a 18yr girl left at home since her parents pasted away and I just got this email.

I've had that on a number of occasions when the parents have died. It seems it doesn't know who to address it to.

Lyssaria, It's alright.. I don't know what he did afterthat anyway because I went to a new generation.. Speaking of generations.. I've noticed thatWhen you start a new generation without the other parent dying, their light remains on.. and also with the children of the former family.. any Ideas?

The only time a person will dull on the family tree is if you've witnessed him/her passing away. Since the children that didn't move in for the next generation didn't pass away in the house, it didn't dim. I like to keep the parents alive as long as I can and then start the next generation.

If I accidentally kick out the remaining parent, I just tell a little story about their remaining life in a luxury Florida nursing home

In fact, every time I start a new family I change the house. I keep getting things from the mods here and add things of my own.

My problem is that I have darkened the floors, so I have to merge the maps to post (or the maps won't fit with the original ones).

The flower bedroom is not ready yet: I'm still getting the mood to do the carpet *laughs*

Anyway, funny thing happened.

I started a new family yesterday and chose Zip. He got married on his first proposal and had triplets - that looked like their dad!!!
Now they just had another child: that looks like all of the others (and the father) *laughs*

If it wasn't for Sandrina, I'd have a Zip family! *lol*

You'll get your multiples in time Sweetheart! Do you use BB. I use it on both peeps when they first get married. I don't use it after that.

I never use it unless they start getting older and fail to have children. Usually I try getting a doctor consult. first to see if the doc recommends it

Next gen you start try giving both of them bb at the start Lys. I think that's one reason why I've had so many multiples. Though I have had some without the bb when I start a new game, and they have no money. That BB definately does work though.

Both of Alex's parent died 30 seconds ago and he's dancing! When I opened the game, one of them had gotten a promotion so Alex ran to the kitchen to celebrate unbeknownst that both his parents were lying in repose. After celebrating their promotion he went to dance. No depression for this young man! I wonder when he'll notice that they're both gone.

Miss Kathy, if a celebration of any kind happens when a parent dies the kids (and sometimes the mate) will run to the celebration and not even notice the death. He'll never notice the death other than through an email the game may have him send you. They're really not aware that they are alone. If you'll take note the parents still call the kid's to eat, brush their teeth, and for bedtime after they've all left. The only time they're aware of their aloneness is when they acknowledge the death event.

Perhaps he thinks that outlasting his parents means he gets the house and he is very excited?

Oh, and two out-of-the-ordinary things just happened in my family:

Uncommon thing number 1: Daphne and Emily got sick at the same time and went to sleep in mom's bed - she went there to check on them.

Uncommon thing number 2: when going out of the bedroom she "bumped into" Afonso and bam! - baby time. But the girls were there... Ok, they just kissed, so... *laughs*

I was taking a look at how my baby mod looks in-game and after I took a screenshot, it looks like the father jumped from shock LOL "Oh goodness, a baby??!"

Upon opening my VF game this morning, I got the notification that the youngest girl had gone to college, leaving the house empty. What I didn't expect was that she apparently threw a wild party while I was gone overnight, and didn't clean up!!!

That's cute Arnie! I've never seen a peep ignor a leak before.

If the leak starts after they've begun their action they'll ignore it, then run around in a panic as soon as the action is finished. Yesterday I had the mother and father both working on their careers in the kitchen when the sink started to leak, and they both totally ignored it at first. They both finished about the same time and started running about like headless chickens, calling out "Oh! Oh!" some minutes later.

I've never noticed that but will be sure to next time the sink leaks.

I get a real kick out of how they act when something happens to the house especially when the keep doing it after it's fixed.

I wish the game was set up so that, after they have fixed leaks/put out fires multiple times, they would know what to do when a leak/fire starts. It irritates me when, after dealing with a leak/fire numerous times they still just jump up and down in a panic and say "oh, oh" when they find one, like "Oh dear! What do I do now??"

I have had them ignore the groceries before to sit down and eat. I was thankful for that, because I just wanted them to eat so I could go to my own kitchen and grab a bite.

I like the parts of the game that make them dependent on me although it can be inconvenient sometimes. Seeing a 10 year old child jumping up and down saying "oh, oh" is different from seeing the more seasoned adults doing that.
