SPOILERS How I got 1 of the magic plants- glitch?

I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but in my second game, I got an Aureus Scandens a different way than the magic plant list guide says (I can't remember how I got it the first time). It says you can get one by crossing fourpetal reptans with venomous grass, but I got one by crossing fragrant grass with citrus reptans. Was this just a fluke or is that combo supposed to give you that plant?

It's not a glitch. The guide lists only one way, but for some magic plants there are many different combinations.

Oh okay. I thought you could only get the magic plants one way (three if you count buying them or mutating them).
